Wow, I believe that you thought of everything. This all is very promising. Please expect a lot of interest for them, also from other forums (as soon as the word gates spread). Can't wait to have them in my cabs, should be very nice to connect my RGB scart modded PCE to my NAC.viletim wrote:The female JAMMA is a pass through connector for the control lines (pad hack, decoder, jpac, etc) which ate also connected to the screw terminals. Audio and video input is by one of the two 21 pin sockets. Video and speaker output is by the JAMMA connector and screw terminals. There are extra horizontal and vertical sync signals available from the screw terminals for pre-JAMMA monitors. Power can be supplied via the JAMMA connector or the screw terminals. Line audio output by RCA sockets only.
I think that's everything.
Console --> Arcade monitor adapter (AVAILABLE, see 1st post)

The Euro SCART socket is right in the centre of the board.neorichieb1971 wrote: Out of curiosity, which is which.
I don't have a definite price yet. The design has now been finalised and I've posted the prototype off to a friend who has a collection of arcade machines and a discerning eye. When he reports back and if there were no problems encountered I'll be able to get a quote for the PCBs and add up parts and other costs.neorichieb1971 wrote: What is the planned cost so far?
This is a good point, also many old microcomputers tend to have only composite sync available. There will be a jumper to set between TTL composite sync and 75 ohm composite video. Snuck in right at the last moment, no new features from now on.antron wrote: is there any way to feed composite sync through your circuit? Thanks Viletim. I have to say if all professionals out there done as fantastic a job as you have done for us. Then well, the world would be a much better place.

Looking forward to hearing the results of the testing.
Re: Console --> Arcade monitor adapter
great to see after years (numerous talks on various forums...) something coming
but on the meanwhile we found alternate answer for Video amplification, with some cheap "Yaton" mgcd (~60$), you can easily hack the inputs and solder RGB peritel/euroconnector , ideal to a japanese jamma cab

Re: Console --> Arcade monitor adapter
BTW viletim, is this going to require -5v? Was looking at your other schematics and noticed one of yours closer to this board did. (Blast City PSUs don't have -5v on them)

Re: Console --> Arcade monitor adapter
No, it needs only +12v. Any regluated 12 volt (which can supply at least 500mA) source may be used in place of a full size arcade power supply if desired.ASK wrote:BTW viletim, is this going to require -5v? It looks like early December, if everything goes according to plan.neorichieb1971 wrote:I still want 2 units. Let me know ASAP when your ready to ship!!

Re: Console --> Arcade monitor adapter
Sounds good. Where are you shipping from?
Out of curiosity, are these things mass produced? Are people going to get offered in the order of the threads interested parties or is it first come first serve? The reason I ask is that most of the time people in your line of business don't have time to build these sorts of things in mass numbers and it takes time. So i'd like to be quite high on the list. Obviously depending on price

Ultimarc Console Adapter Killer
as you might be able to tell im not a fan of Andy and his Console Adapters
Viletim , should myself and maybe a couple of others start advertising your genius Console Adapter ?..........its up to you
some pics of the Adapter and some screenshots of it running on a Cab would be great for an Ad , aswell some specs and capabilities of your Adapter to top it off.

He's already posted it on many forums. He has a thread dating back to like 2006 on another site discussing it, and someone recommended he ask people here.s8n wrote:Viletim , should myself and maybe a couple of others start advertising your genius Console Adapter ?..........its up to you

You mean assebmled by machines in a far off country? No.neorichieb1971 wrote: Out of curiosity, are these things mass produced?
I'll be doing all the assembly myself (I'll ensure all the sweat and blood is wiped off before shipping). The board layout was designed with my capabilities in mind. There will be 50 units made in total, if they sell out quickly then I may look into what is required for higher volume production.
First come, first serve.neorichieb1971 wrote: Are people going to get offered in the order of the threads interested parties or is it first come first serve?
Yes, that's very true. Due to my current circumstances I do have the time to spare. This isn't likely to last into the next year, though.neorichieb1971 wrote: The reason I ask is that most of the time people in your line of business don't have time to build these sorts of things in mass numbers and it takes time. I don't know... I was just going for something unexciting and self descriptive like "SCART to JAMMA adapter". I've never really cared much for marketing.

I can't take any photos 'till I have something to take a photo of. All in good time...

Can you at least guarantee I will get two or the originals?
I will pay you now if it helps.
