and the best part is, when all is said and done, ketsui is still great

you will note that pretty much anybody who has put in any serious time with ketsui agree it is a great game, and deserving of any hype...

most of the people saying its 'over-rated' have very limited experience with it

read between the lines.....

its not even the same scoring system dude....other than the fact that it looks like ketsui and kinda plays similarly they are very different games

Guess I'll find out when the game is (never) released here. $250+ for a Japanese 360 and $60+ for the game =/= a price I'm willing to pay for a game I haven't played yet. If the game was region-free, I'd import it and play it on a friend's 360. Too bad 5bp decided to be douches like that.

Well, if you feel I should play the full game, donate your PCB to the cause. As it stands, Ketsui is something not worth my money.

Again, how the fuck am I supposed to play something not readily available to me? It's not as though I can walk into the local arcade and pop some quarters into a Ketsui machine, now is it? ITT, playing a $60 sampler of something isn't enough; one must shell out $hundreds for the privilege of playing the full game before he may judge it. Don't blame me, blame CAVE, or blame 5bp for region-locking the game. If it was region-free, I would buy it... whenever they decide to release it.

Naw… people were happy to play anything and everything. There was alot of caravan game playing (Recca & Alzadick) as well as a wide assortment of things. Death Smiles was in the other cab pretty much the whole time and got alot of play from everyone.

I'm off of work today and I guess I just had enough of the overhype of Ketsui…

Its one thing to like and enjoy a game, but some people just seem to go to far…

AGAIN, provide me with a way of playing Ketsui, preferably at under $100. Any more than that, and I'd have to play the game first before shelling that out. (Example: Played RSG numerous times before taking the $180 plunge)

Hey, I said Ketsui is decent. Good. Above-average, even. Just nowhere near the level of praise it receives on certain forums. Way to ruin an otherwise good game by hyping it beyond anything it could possibly live up to.

I played Extra mode on Death Label, a graphically toned-down version of the final stage. OMG, the enemy arrangements/ game speed/ aspect ratio/ amount of starting lives/ sound quality/ etc. were somewhat different, IT'S AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT GAME AND PLAYS NOTHING LIKE KETSUI. I'd really love to pay an extra $500 just to see little swirly lock-on animations. Really, I would.
