Awesome meet up as usual. Kudos to Dave and his wife for letting us stay late and trash the place

Bernard was crazy good with his Shiki runs. We thought there was a VCR running inside the cab with non-stop superplays cause his 8 clears were inhuman.

Louie and Kit had an amazing competition on Spy Hunter cab. The loudest groan was when Louie missed out on that last extend at ~148.3K.

Good luck to DirtyMonk on his move out to the DC area, we'll miss you!

Glad to meet ForeverSublime & Alec and a few others there for the first time.

Grant, you better get that game room in shape and ready for us to pounce on!

Sincerely,

Mikhail

Thanks for hosting this epic meet, Dave, while making me want to buy a Guwange PCB even more! :) My wallet shudders at the thought. I wish you the best of luck with the transitional period and hope to see the eventual return of your meets again! Thanks for everything, man. You really are one of the coolest guys I've met. We'll meet again someday soon.

Kiselgof, Ironish, louisg, diodesu, Illrm, BER, Felix, pixelcorps, Shariar07, Battlesmurf, Segasonicfan, along with anyone else I've met during the last several meets I've forgot to mention...Man, I'm going to miss all of you guys. Thanks for all the good times! Now I'm feeling all sad and emotional.

it was sitting there for a week or so and sold the day after the meet up, hopefully someone who was there jumped on their comp and snatched it right after. at least i managed to snag the dimahoo out that thread. dave, please post up those pictures when you get around to it. i'm anxious to see how they came out.

edit: hmm...maybe its about time i pm a mod about getting the pass to my old account reset.

My friend and I want to thank you Dave for hosting this meet, and all the past meets. Thank you for your hospitality. It's been great to meet all the forum members who's been there.

To DirtyMonk - Good luck on your move.

To Bernard - you the man!

I have around 20+ videos of the meet, should be uploaded to youtube within the week, including around four or five of Bernard's last boss fights.

Sounds like the 10th and final shmupmeet at Dave K.'s place was the place to be. ^_~

Sorry, I couldn't attend it. Sure, there may another time.

Yeah, Battlesmurf has one helluva an arcade room setup...I vote that he should take over Dave K. for future shmupmeets in the nearby future. ^_~

Thanks Dave and his wife for their hospitality. I had so much fun with Spy Hunter, Change Air Blade tournament + True hidden boss and watching BER's incredible gameplay.

Louisg totally kicked my butt in Spy Hunter :?

It was also really cool to finally get to meet some of the Neo Geo members that I've never met before like Alec, KitKit, and Forever Sublime. It does kindof suck that DirtyMonk has to move. You've been a staple at all a shmupmeet's, and we'll miss you at the future meets. Good luck in your move and if you come back to visit, let us know.

BER clearing Shiki 2 an amazing eight times in a row is pretty damn crazy. That for sure is mastering the game. Too bad I didn't watch at least one run, but I was too busy with Futari.

Thanks again, and until next time...

You did awesome! Think of it this way: you'd never really played it before, and Dave's friend spent hours on it and you creamed his score! If the Spy Hunter machine sticks around, next time competition will be close :D

Too bad there aren't many vehicular shooters. I have to recommend RoadBlasters if you liked Spy Hunter though, and STUN Runner isn't bad either. Both are better than Fire and Forget ;)
Humans, think about what you have done

Wow $300 is a great price if its in working condition. Hard to see what condition the cab is in from that pic. Graphical glitches like that are hard to troubleshoot (usually not the roms thats the problem). First thing you'd have to do is pull out the original power supply before it toasts everything (how I original got mine).

no, I have to finish this US VGA cab I just bought from Albert. I just thought someone from the meet might be interested considering how much fun we had with yours.
