elfhentaifan wrote:Other personal favourites:

- to sum it up, all male Ibara voices (Dyne is awesome) sound neat as hell, also Lace as a damn hot voice

- The Gradius-Ship in the 5th part has the coolest Voice of all Gradius games,
and "What the Hell" was definetly his best comment.

- Ikaruga is a classic, what does the voice say when your missile gauge has filles up? However its such a lovely sound

- "You're reaching the target of attack! Your mission starts now, are you ready !!!"

- shiki 2 has awesome voice actors aswell, especially the dramatic death screams are awesome, here

-"OXANA"!, thats what i hear when you collect a powerup in mushi, but who the hell is oxana, the 3rd hidden character thats never mentioned in the game propably...?

- At very last i have to mention the german voice actor in under defeat, which supports the game with a very clear and understandable dialect, but talking absolutely nonsense, which makes him epic
Man, I have to agree with all of them! Regarding Ika, I think the little robovoice says "Energy Max". And it's especially sweet, as I stated before, in the laser missile duel with the Tageri. Energy Max, Energy Max, Energymaxenergymax... BOOM!

Hey, we forgot of Einhänder! I can't see many other games who can put german in such an epic way!

Achtung, Acthung! Einhänder komt! Drei sekunden bis contakt! (I think it was something like that) Hell, those guys steal the show. Best Square voice acting ever.

Each boss sounds so damn sweet and mean. The second boss is simply amazing with all the alarms, pointing a light spot at you and taunting.

The Hyperion girl surely sound super cool with all the "Transmissions" and such. For me is the female equivalent of the GURAIDIUSU V male announcer with all that echo and cool output.

Another point for the "OK" when the shield recharges in Gigawing.

More points for DonPachi! The guy yelling the game title when you insert a credit is so damn over the top. More points for DOJ and the "Watch out".

And more for TFV. The boss warnings are indeed pretty good.

Last one: End Effector put a really exaggerated boss warning. I can't get what it says but thought it was nice.

You know, it does count "8 Chain"... then it randomizes between:
Excellent
Splendid
Max Chain

Adding from Silpheed:
"Good luck gentlemen! Let's go!"
"Shit! They just wiped out our beds!"
"JEEEESUS!"
"I got a big one! Give me another!"
"The main target is the inside core block!"
"Topaz Squadron, this is Topaz Leader: Mission completed, gentlemen! I repeat, mission completed! IT'S TIME TO GO HOME!"

Here it comes. The strong one. Can you beat it?

Kiken: It's less apt to do so at the very beginning of stage 1. I think that's what he was referring to.

I dunno I think it was G.Darius where at the beginning of the game some chick mentions "Sashimi"

Also, the "3, 2, 1 let's go" from R-type Leo is pretty memorable to me, since it cuts right into that funky music.

This, alongside all of Buster Winter's antics in Gradius V.

Batrider's is just annoying, though.
I suppose he says "OK" but for some reason I always hear "COCAINE".
I always heard "Otay".

that Mac Text to Speech voice really fits in with the classic gradioos voice samples
True. I just recently found out about this feature and was surprised of how much these artificial voices remind me of Gradius Galaxies, Psyvariars "Level up" and Gigawings "OK" :) I really love that, maybe because of that Kraftwerk - Radioactivity record I had as a child that uses a lot of robotic voices like that.

That huge scrolling text is awesome, too. I loved the similar GAME OVER in Alien Soldier. Every game needs huge scrolling text.

In Batrider it´s "Optsch-sho-sho-optsch-sho-Option level up". Quite satisfying somehow.

"I'll be back!" that's what the Boss Mecha says in Soldier Blade. Interestingly enough he is the Final game Boss and says the same quote in various other places in the game until the final confrontation.

"Arms Installation is complete. Good luck!" (Axelay)
That sounded so cool when I 1st heard it on my friend's SNES back in the day! ;)

It's still one of the first understandable voices I ever heard in a game.

From the introduction of Laydock 2: Last Attack,

"This is stormy gunner: we have broken through our enemy's defense zone. Now we will start a counter attack. This is our last attack!"

I love the distorted radio effect here.

*edit* just found the intro on youtube.

I like the Soldier Blade mech and also the Axelay voice. :D

On the other hand, all the voice in Butwider makes me want to kill somebody - preferably the stupid voice actor.

Yeah, it's old school. But I love the theme, sounds and design of this game. (More than I do the actual gameplay!)

Gradius Gaiden ~ Male Star Warslike Intro "destroyed ninetynine percent of the gradius army..."

Gradius Gaiden ~ Male "You need more practice"

And in general, no shmups voice does a better job than male Gradius Gaiden.

Team Fortress 2 is old school? Sounds like a buncha Heavy quotes to me.

I'm actually just upset that Sinistron threatens Stratovox for the "first game with speech" crown...and also because it's better in every way outside of Strato's classic SI style cocktail.

"Break off testicular arms"

For real quotes, I'd have to agree that the Donpachi guy is the best for playing the role of Ghost from Sewer Shark.
