Depends on your idea of reason.Dudes it seems that everybody is bashing Milestone Inc. for no reason,
MODS: Can someone fix the quote? The width is killing me. I demand perfection in the threads I participate in.
See that bolded part up there? That's exactly where you lost all credibility.Maikeru_Rocks wrote:Dudes it seems that everybody is bashing Milestone Inc. for no reason, why would they put out a game if they didn't think it would be good?, also so what if they use cel-shaded graphics in their games, I don't see anyone else doing it. Milestone Inc. is awesome developer, me being a Dreamcast fan and collector I happy to own and play Chaos Field, Radirgy
and Karous and my japanese Dreamcast. MILESTONE INC. RULES!![]()

Later dudes!
Dreamcast...It's still thinking!
The only items you pick up are the ones that change your shot. There seem to be no boost items to the gauges (other than what you get by shooting, shielding, or dolling). Similar to the other games, it's hard to tell what bullets you can shoot, and which ones you can't.GP, can you confirm this?

The same thing in Karous too, IIRC...Twiddle wrote:Weird, since in Radirgy there was a small guideline to which bullets could be shot (can't be shot = perfectly round, can be shot = spiky and/or irregular)
Just to clarify, what I was referring to was it doesn't appear that you can swat items with your close attack to change/cycle them (like in Radirgy and Karous, the 点 icons can be repeatedly smacked with your sword in order to change them into other things).GaijinPunch wrote:The only items you pick up are the ones that change your shot. Milestone likes to play "headgames" with their audience when it comes to their unusual methods of coming up with original game titles (with a pun in them sometimes)...it's a given! ^_~Kiken wrote:Ok, seems I have to take back my prior statement. According to Danmakugata, the romanization is Illvelo (now that I look at the image again, I can see the v snuck in there... I originally thought they were doing something creative with having the belly of the b double as the letter e). I think it would have helped a bit had they written the title as: イルヴェロ
God damn, MileStone! You and your awkward-ass titles!
Well, in Radirgy, for instance, the scoring system was a big part of the gameplay. However, the main game wasn't compelling to me, so it was really hard to get into the scoring at all. I just wish they would focus less on complex scoring systems, and more on creating a more exciting experience. Now, I'm not saying that this game won't be fun, it just looks like another radirgy to me.What's wrong with that?
My ONLY complaint with Radirgy, is that the scoring system is exactly the opposite of risk vs reward. To score properly in Radirgy, you end up being COMPLETELY INVINCIBLE for entire sections of stage that would otherwise be lots of fun. And it's just not as difficult as it should be (in my opinion anyways).MathU wrote:What's wrong with that?Zebra Airforce wrote:I think the artstyle is pretty cool. Too bad it's a typical milestone score-a-thon.
In stages 3, 4 and 5, yes, this is true. However, stages 1 and 2 pose far more difficult scoring tactics. The worst of which being the Change (化) item juggling at the stage 2 boss (which can easily account for more than 25 million pts).Arvandor wrote:My ONLY complaint with Radirgy, is that the scoring system is exactly the opposite of risk vs reward. Except they aren't really that much alike. They just feel similiar due to having identical button functions.Arvandor wrote:Otherwise, another Milestone score-a-thon sounds like it has possibilities to me ^_^ So long as it doesn't have the problem Karous had of being effectively Radirgy 1.5: Inferior Edition.
How so? I like my Dreamcast, it's hooked up and ready to play. And what does Milestone have to do with DC? It's not like this new game of theirs will be ported. I simply don't like crappy games, which is what Milestone seems to be committed to.eight wrote:You're the most anti-Dreamcast person I know, Ceph.
