Interesting! Faster bullets but easier to complete?
Oh, how about ULTRA? Have you seen the TLB in action?
Any vids? :D

On a side note: seems that megauload is not working at the moment "from your country" :?

Edit: I feel the need to add that I'm interested in the Cave shirt too. If at the end of this mess you have one to offer, you know what to do ;)

Mega upload works. You also do not need to install the toolbar. Just input the 3 letter text before the bottom page crashes. You have about one second to do it, so be quick.

Great videos Sven! Thanks for the pics GP.

it says that all download slots assigned to your country are currently in use.
thats why i had to install the toolbar, whit that there is no slot limitations.

It was well worth the wait that I didn't do much because Sven was holding the line with his life. Some very nice items, some we didn't get in the end but overall a very nice initiative by Cave.

First post on this forum, I have some new arcade pics on my website (also check out the special of the month for more) and other game related stuff from Japan at www.nozomi.nl

Cheers

Nice coverage guys.

But damn, that's a wicked DDP Campaign Flyer.
Not to mention the EVAC Sign and DOJ Poster.

Guess it's off to Yahoo Japan again...(edit) which seems to be vacant of anything DOJ related from that 'festival'.

Is this new Reko fig a one-off, or is it going to be produced in limited quantities?
(I never noticed just how skimpy that outfit is until seeing this figurine...)

I've been after a Daioujou poster for ages. You guys are lucky. ;_;
(Blag me the three Mushi Futari posters and a Daioujou one and get repaid plus a nice big extra amount on top. WTB!!)

I saw that same figure-kit on YAJ last week, so its not a one off. It actually looked kinda gross with the very apparent nopantsu and colored in cootchie.

Took me a couple minutes to google search for it (since the auction ended and I didn't save the link). But here it is, cootchie close up and all at 15,500Y

The figure wasn't for sale there, but yeah, they're around. One of those limited garage kits I guess.

I have an Ultra video, but am having a problem getting it crunched down to a normal size. It's only a few minutes, and Xvid gave me a 250 meg file. I'll try to screw w/ it some more later.

This is a crop of the shirts. Who said a 7.1 Megapixel camera was useless?

Anyways, I bought an L-size green one, and I hate game shirts. I figure I'd just sell it for double what it cost assuming someone offered.

I really wanted one of the Cave tees because they were so cheap, but man those Mushi ones were still so expensive. Dumbass Cave had a rule that you could only get a maximum of 3 of any item, then some jokers in the front of the line bought everything and a few minutes later they said ok, only one item per customer. Otherwise, I would've bought more of the posters to sell. I was in line before the damn thing opened and I still got shafted on some goods, I'm not sure what Cave was thinking.

I'll be going again tomorrow to have another go at the remixed games and see what other merch they have left (didn't buy a strap and now I wish I had). If they for some reason got more posters and shirts I'll buy what I can.

Futari 1.01 seemed to be Futari ver 1.0 with the changed scoring mechanics of the score attack version. Really a crime that this won't be released commercially, it's a lot of fun plus it's more challenging. They also changed the counter to flash green when it's below 500 so you know when to switch shots, it's much easier than having to look at the digits while playing. With the Ketsui system, guys were getting the counter above 90,000 and scores past half a billion, crazy stuff.

my vid is from blue label and concidering all the racket fromthe crowd when he hit 999999999 the first time i doubt its been done before?

it seems blue label is a little more generous with the timelimit for getting your hit counter up, i played a go on ultra and got up to 10-15000 on the first level and trust me.. im an absolute beginner.

eretsua> he counterstops the hit meter, done by hand aswell, there was no autofire circuit in the cabinet.

For it to be a counter stop the counter would have to stop...it breaks the million barrier but keeps going. A high score for sure, but I wouldn't get too excited, Blue Label's Ultra is really quite different from the official version from what I could tell. Much easier for one.

I went for the last day today and grabbed some of the free Mushihime light-up mushi toys:

Image

I expected there to be a big last-minute rush of challengers for the contest but it was pretty quiet all the way to the end. I was unable to compete with the insane 600 million+ scores but it was fun participating. I saw a guy get to 2-5 in DDP Campaign, that was pretty gnarly.

I was wrong about Futari 1.01, btw. After playing it for myself, it turns out it's just ver1.0 only with the added two bombs.

Overall, I guess it was an alright event. I wanted better shit for sale, but playing one-of-a-kind Cave games was a privilege. They should hold things like this more often.

yeah yeah,hit-counter-stop then ;)

yeah playing DDP campaign and blue label mushi was really something :) my only gripe with that was that they had picked the shittiest cabs for the event :?

most ofthe monitors had crazy burn-in, on one ofthe mushicabs it was even visible while playing, and one of the campaign monitors was so blurry you could hardly read the highscore.. thats pretty bad.. :?

i cant help but feel cave kinda sold themselves short with the merch tho, they could have printed double amounts of everything and still sold out... when we left at closing yesterday there were only a few soundtracks, ibara figures and PS2 versions left...
