If that's a Mr. Driller 2 art set, it all assembles and sits atop your cab. Mine is :D

Diane... it's 7:30 a.m. over at the shmup forums, the locals seem to be nice and friendly, i've stopped over at the off topic forum and they have nice conversation and a damn good coffee, and the trading station is worth a stop.

Talk about pointing finger.

Hot 8ing on Capcom action goes on.
The Castlevania is Circle of the Moon, released as "Castlevania" in Europe. Alas, its battery seems to be out of juice. Which is the worst of it, really. Even 30 fps in the Ghost Squad port rubs me the wrong way only during cutscenes (all skippable, thankfully, in what already is a short game, so gutsy move for this time and age). Though the impression remains that if it was ported in the PS2 Sega Ages period, it would be 60 fps. Perhaps at the price of lowered textures resolution, but it already looks like a Dreamcast game with a hint of DirectX 8 glow here and there (nothing PS2 couldn't have pulled off).
At least doesn't shimmer as badly as OutRun 2006 in 640i on the PS2 (outsourced as well). Both outsourced ports are, above all, playable (and the Ghost Squad cover actually says Image).
A game of mandom, then.

What's cool about that Konami produced Gradius Advance (aka Gradius Galaxies in the USA) GBA cart, it runs at a silky smooth 60fps. Looks gorgeous on a low-res arcade monitor with a GC console + GB player & a modded GC JPN D-Terminal cable to output in 480p via VGA with an Ultracade UVc setup. Easy as pie.

Gunpowder tea is absolutely terrible.
It LITERALLY smells and tastes like cigarette. Yuckh..

The best of these ones are mint and oolong.
z0mbie90 wrote:Nice Cagar I love tea, try Rhubarb with a flavor of cream, it's one of my favorite. Also Japanese cherry tea.
Thanks, i'll try those! :)

Gunpowder is a type of green tea or Oolong tea where the leaves are steamed and rolled up before being dried. That way the leaves preserve more flavor, and these teas tend to have a stronger, "earthier" flavor.

I'm more interested in the Milky Oolong. Have never tried it before. :)

I play the Cave ports on a gaming monitor with a very fast panel and little latency. I wonder if that's why I haven't been bothered with the lag.

On the computer gaming side it accepts 120Hz.

Yeah, it's pretty bad.

I have a Canon SD1400IS that is infinitely better, but of course my phone is always in my pocket so it gets used more often.

Gotta wonder about those PEGI ratings. Neither game seems to display red blood (that I recall seeing) and Zack's death animations are way more graphic. Not the American brand of cartoony violence.
Ghost Squad is the first Wii game that makes me wanna play it with a gun-shaped Wiimote holder. Not for the immersion as much as for those bonus points. Though I believe it would feel more "authentic" than playing games of mounted gun with recoil origins on the Wii.
Any cheap peripherals one can recommend? Something that works just fine in Ghost Squad. I don't feel like paying much for stuff that certainly isn't expensive to produce.

One of those "kids on the run" games it seems. I don't dare to hope it to be as good as Ico, BoFV: Dragon Quarter or Crimson Tears, but Pandora's Tower still attracts me a bit stronger than The Last Story at this point.

DealeXtreme or eBay should be able to sort you out. There are an abundance of them.

Everybody seems to have found a non-sunfaded Gun-Dec...except me

It's a brave fellow who tackles Final Mission on Famicom. It seems like it's very strict with upgrades and fire rate, as opposed to the NES versions.

The latest addition to my growing Disney art collection. This one is called "Donald's Better Self" by Allison Lefcort, and is based off a 1938 cartoon of the same name. I should probably know better than to be buying art off cruise ships, but this one was just too cool to pass up.

First smartphone ever:

LG Motion 4G with MetroPCS. I don't even know what I can really do with it. To be honest I'm only using this as a phone, Chrome, texting device.

But with smartphones you can have cool lock screens like this:

And three main screens just to see the plane from Fire Shark:

When I swipe it part of the background moves so you can see part of the artwork.

Really surprised that Kinokuniya in LA had a big shelf of Doujinstuff and games for sale. Got the two Touhou games from there.

Sky Odyssey is the awesome. You'd better complete all turorial missions first. Also, press the analogue button on controller every time you boot the game.

Well, early PS2 PAL games were notoriously unoptimised, so I would search for NTSC replacement as well.

Great stuff CHI! Glad it made it back across the pond no worse for wear. See, the broken bits aren't even that noticeable from a distance.
