Little things that annoy the hell out of you
Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
I'd sooner die than work sales. Also, if you're a recruitment consultant - stab yourself in the cunt you parasitic fuck. Worse again, if you take a pittance to work for A4e or EOS cycling people through Workfare for the government - douse yourself in petrol, climb inside a bin and set it on fire.

Finding out that you've been using the wrong software for years.
uTorrent had lots of sensible features, but it's no qTorrent.

Splatoon and Amiibos.....
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
One mention of Splatoon and it gets an ewwww and put in the hate thread without so much as a reason why? I find that annoying.Strider77 wrote:Splatoon and Amiibos.....

Woke up at 4am having to pee with hunger pangs so I decided to eat the quickest thing so I could go back to sleep & be well rested for work at 7am. Never eat spicy pizza at 4am. Horrible stomach cramps & gas kept me awake & now I'm about to have a shitty day.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
Two days ago my Hard Drive got burned along side my graphic card (its stupid cooler have issue and I was too slow to correct it): it was horse crap to install the system and going with a smaller one until it arrives a bigger one. My PC works fine now and I salvaged most of the file days before, but is still aggravating having a weaker and smaller PC considering that I play games on it.
At this point, I'm wouldn't be surprised if the motherboard or something importat kiss its butt goodbye, I'd get a reason to build a PC by myself.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
It annoys me how console developers drop support for their games after a few months of patches & money hungry DLC.
It would be really nice if Namco had ever responded to criticism of their GunCon 3 & patched Time Crisis 4 & Razing Storm to support the GunCon 2 model.
See, the GunCon 2 does work on PS3 as it's a USB based peripheral. The PS3 also works on CRT's through the AV port overlooked by most users. All it would require is a simple patch based on their code for the original PS2 ports.
I wonder if sometime in the distant future dedicated fans will patch the software themselves to be played on a modded PS3 system & CRT? I imagine one fully unlocked with install support for all PSX, 2, & 3 titles so that the entire series can all be had in one place. It's quite a dream considering the current state of the PS3 modding scene, but it's a fun dream to have.
Perhaps a decent light gun will accompany the inevitable PS4 port of TC5 along with a legacy collection. Also a pipe dream, but wouldn't it be great?

Microsoft has no idea how an installer or update service works.
All I want to do is install Visual Studio 2013 and it keeps getting stuck.

Not likely given that the game is compatible with the PS Move. Sony probably had something to do with it.8BA wrote:See, the GunCon 2 does work on PS3 as it's a USB based peripheral. Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
That's what I'm saying, now that the fuss is over for Move it shouldn't require much to patch the games for GunCon 2 use. I've tested it on PS3 with Crisis Zone & it works well.Specineff wrote:Not likely given that the game is compatible with the PS Move. When you're reading an article on MSN and one of the articles on the side has this horrific body-horror as it's image. I didn't click on the article, but I'm still not able to sleep tonight... I didn't know sunburns could even look like that.

When a wealthy executive at the powerful Conde Nast publishing company gets outed by a hooker for cheating on his wife, everyone condemns gawker for reporting it, making all kinds of excuses about how modern marriages can be "complicated."
When the Ashley Madison hacker essentially does the same thing to millions of normal people who lack wealth and connections, everyone falls upon the cheaters with their claws out, cackling with glee.
The rich do get their indulgences, don't they?

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

Normally I'd agree, but a 10 things that dogs hate you do article seemed so innocent. It's normally the comment section that you need to avoid, but now I guess clicking anything was a mistake.Blinge wrote:You've only yourself to blame.Lord Satori wrote:When you're reading an article on MSN.

Gonna have a stab at my fellow Americans again.
Why do parents name their kids with obvious spelling mistakes?
If you work on a helpdesk and your taking the persons name it is very inconvenient to not find their name in the directory because you can't spell it.

My sister named my niece with a really stupid spelling of the otherwise ordinary name Kaylee that I can't bring myself to type out.
...and then my real name is never spelled right by anyone because there's an E where there's usually an A.
Not even strictly an American thing, both of my parents were born and raised in Trinidad.
The obvious reason for it is to differentiate their kid from the rest of the rabble, but it turns out that having an off name doesn't help them one bit.

Could be worse. You could have had hipster christian parents aggressively trying to out-Jesus their friends and name you after an obscure Bible character like Obadiah or Malachi.null1024 wrote:This shit bugs me.neorichieb1971 wrote:Gonna have a stab at my fellow Americans again.

What annoys me the most is parents who name their kids after abstract nouns. I've known a Patience, Memory, and a Heaven in my life. I can let Desire slip by because the name typically has a different pronunciation.

My real name is Badislaus.
...also, discovering the USB 3.0 header for the front panel obviously fell out. Guess I can't blame Windows 10 for that one!
...and discovering that my fan has no PWM control after all. A bit loud (930RPM or so) but ~100 degree F idles (36 C) is good for me.
Also, no maggots in the house, please.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
I'm sure it's already been posted: I work at the returns counter. I hate it when people just step up to the counter and throw their stuff down on the table before I finish up my last return and are able to call them up. To go with that, people who are on a call and totally ignore you. The ultimate is the combination of the two. I've been called rude because someone did both of the things mentioned and they didn't feel that they were taken care of.
Eff those people.
Also, when you're working on a project for lord knows how long, and after getting to the finishing stages, it doesn't come out the way you wanted or doesn't work at all.

That's what makes it an acronym. LED is not an acronym but an initialism, because no-one in their right mind has ever said LED these same way as led.goombakid wrote: ...people who pronounce acronyms as a word (LED, SNES, etc.)...
