Wouldn't buy RE4 twice just for (presumably) superior controls and graphics, but The Mercenaries are worth owning for two different consoles. Shame about having to unlock everything I like about RE4 yet again. Maybe I should try a pacifist run to make the ho-hum foreplay a bit less lethargic.

wow! congratulations on the awesome haul! I've just started getting into Raiden IV now, and its really amazing. I've only played a bit of the first mushi, but the xbox 360 port looks beautiful.

Thanks. Feels good to own one of these :)

Raiden IV is way better than I expected. a big shame this never got a PAL release.
Mushi HD are indeed beautiful. much better than the blurry PS2 port. Remastered soundtrack sounds nice too.

Another vintage watch - this one was cheap but unusual:

Image

I bought this last year on a preorder, to be honest with the ebay item having long been deleted and any chance of ever getting my money back gone, I thought I was never going to get this. Finally it arrived today!

Yeah I'm not imagining it - that is bigger than the original, someone posted a comparison photo:

Makes you realise just how much watches have changed - when the original came out, there was competition to make watches as small as possible to impress, now it's the other way around.

Yeah, watches are so rediculously large now that this reissue felt small! Hahaha. I once saw a Diesel that was around 55mm! It had other watches within the watch! It probably ran on real diesel fuel. Suffice to say, you have to be a really big guy with huge wrists to pull off that look.

The bummer about this reissue is that I could not find the automatic version, so I had to settle for the latest quartz 8)

Just got back from Anime Boston. Here's the shit I bought.
Image
Mostly EVA stuff.

Image
These models were around $15 each. The books were about $7.

Image
Unit MK.6(?) looks really cool. Unfortunately, some of the plastic came off. Cost about $40.

Image
Mari! This figurine is huge for the price I got it for. $35. I don't know where I'm gonna put it. It looks a little weird with everything else.

There was also an Ikaruga and Ginkei model for sale, each was $60. I found them at the end of my shopping spree and the shitty thing about these cons is that all sales are final. ;_;

Some CIB Famicom games (Star Wars, Chojin Sentai Jetman, and Hebereke) and Shin Seiki GPX Cyber Formula Sin Drei Plus. I'm especially impressed with the latter, very cool to see a doujin racing race. Not many of those around.

Hey Ghegs, cool gets, especially the doujin racer. I even got a flyer for that game, It was a goodie in one of racnors shipments. :D

I'm curious how it is and how it plays, could you post more about it when you had some time with it?

Yeah, I have a gazillion of those flyers as well. ;) Rancor's the one who helped me get the game, not surprisingly. Costs 3000 yen.

I've talked a little about the game over on Rolling Start already, I'll post more in a day or two when I have more time. If you have any specific questions, go ahead and ask them there.
