I've played Baroque before. I wasn't too crazy about it but then again I didn't put very much time into it. That reminds me that I've always wanted to check out Treasure Hunter G. I wonder if it's been fan translated?

Quite a bargin there with the bundled G-Net set. It's cool to play Ray Crisis on it indeed.

I've been away from Arduino for 5 years or so - Diecimila was the new thing when I left - getting back into it now with a few projects in mind. I feel pretty outdated when guys tell newbies "I've been into Arduino for a while now, I started with an Uno".

On the left, official Uno R3, official Pro Mini 5V/16MHz, a bare ATmega328, and some ATtiny45 and ATtiny85.
On the right, a clone Mega2560 R3, clone Nano, and seven clone Pro Mini 5V/16MHz.
These came in separate shipments/local purchases so some of them have already been molested for my projects. Still expecting delivery of one more clone Mega2560 R3. Having fun so far, although it has not been without many moments of frustration too.

Hello Revy
Bought from Yetiart - painting is of high quality but the gun was shipped in place and left silver on the hair (never possible to see without removing the gun), and their packaging isn't even close to as good.

That looks awesome. I wish there were art kits like that for sale to customize the iCade. Congrats on your victory!

Came home from work to this!
First games I've ever imported! (Well, not including DDPR)
Evangelion is by and far my favorite anime, I've never read any of the manga, so I'm pretty excited to get these.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Whoa, so many PS/MMP, I had to get in on it too! Just placed an order with yesasia. Thanks guys!

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Now in the actual correct topic.
There was a retro game fair here today. I went there, forgot my water bottle on the bus, stood in line for ~3 hours before I finally got in... and now I have returned with loot.

Little Nemo, Kabuki Quantum Fighter, Power Blade and a Legacy of the Wizard I can't actually play yet because it's US version and my NES is an unmodded PAL NES. All the dust covers were bought separately too, though from the same place I bought the latter three games.

Kirby's Pinball Land, Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble and Gameboy Wars in Japanese, and Bionic Commando Elite Forces. Dust covers bought separately. Again from the same place that sold me the three Japanese games.

Mischief Makers, Jet Force Gemini and Wave Race 64. Mischief Makers was one of the games I was out to get.

A game I felt was worth owning.
Now, sometimes you find something that you know you have to get. You see it, and you know you have to buy it.
Things like these.

Motherfucking Toki and Souther VIOLENCE ACTION FIGURES.
The engrish on the packaging is fantastic, so have a bonus picture of stuff from the back:

Remember, kids, it becomes Amiba which becomes Toki by replacing a head.

Hooray for pirate carts! Two RPGs from the genre's golden years, from two series I really love. I will probably grab DQ III and V at some point as well. I do wish the SD3 label wasn't titled Secret of Mana 2, though.
I just need to finish Majora's Mask before I jump in with either. Should probably wrap up Battle Kid 2 as well... I need a week off to catch up on my gaming.

I thought you recently said you couldn't read Japanese? Aren't most of those pretty text heavy?

Might as well encourage myself to learn with some good ol' porno
That aside, I can read kana fine, I just know very few words. I figure I can see a few nudie scenes with that knowledge!

You don't need to know japanese to play ero-games, just use your instincts.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
These things are true, but sometimes you may miss what hole you want to stick it in. But I guess that's where instincts probably come in play, once again.
The Rance games always looked fun. I've got one of the Viper games myself on Win95 I believe. What are most of those on, 5.25 and 3.5 floppies?

Actually has a small dent top left on the dial which catches the light when it's not being professionally photographed, but it's still very very nice. Circa 1930s.

Great gets! The Oculus Rift is one piece of hardware I'd loooove to have, but I think I'm waiting for the consumer version. I have the feeling that it will just blow me away...Stealthlurker wrote:The new Occulus Rift VR headset. Wow.... Pretty amazing experience I must say!

And I see that you got an Ouya! Really looking forward to finally get mine, I received a "pre-shipping" mail just yesterday.
Would you mind posting your experiences with the Rift? And maybe some more pics or even videos of it?

EDIT:This isn't bad to ask here, is it? It's not like I'm asking for ROMs.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Prior to getting the Rift, I was watching some youtube videos... no one was able to give you a "headset view" and it wouldn't really work anyway. So they simply mirrored the non-3D view on the main PC monitor.Drachenherz wrote:Great gets! The demos I've tried so far are a very cool experience. One demo you can walk on a high narrow bridge outside a castle/town. I'm afraid of heights and looking around while walking on the bridge made me nervous, haha. Also the early VirtualBoy emulator is pretty neat.
