Oh hey, 3TB drives are fairly cheap now. It wasn't too long ago that a 1TB drive cost that much. I really should pick one up [and never have to delete things again... or maybe I'm just fooling myself like people once did when 1GB was a massive amount of space].
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Bought a 27" Sony Trinitron off Craigslist today for 10 bucks. Got it out of my car, and while lowering it to the ground, my hand slipped and it dropped a few inches. The plastic was already super brittle, and the shell essentially evaporated. It was unbelievable how many pieces that plastic shell turned in to. Looks like I've got a monitor project on my hands, now.

Love me some licensed Gundam games (also Banpresto!):

The game on the left is a surprisingly balanced and good turn-based strategy similar to Advance Wars, and the right is some visual novel/detective game by Deco:

Nice gets on Holy Diver and Akumajo Densetsu (VRC6 power)! And Ryukenden of course. That FC is a beaut.

That DECO cart's label art is cool. Looks like Clint Eastwood circa Dirty Harry as Sherlock Holmes.

I like it well enough. I mean, eventually I want to pick up the PCB, but for the meantime while I save up funds for that, I am totally content with the port.

Great set of games. Could you bring the shmups to Frenetic's meet next month? I have this stick that can be used to play them.

I picked it up just because of how fucking awesome the cart looked. The game probably won't disappoint, if only I knew Japanese at an even basic level...

Yep! I have a AV Famicom I can bring along. Speaking of Famicom, I received this game today:

Awesome game, and one of the few instances where an American title is even better than the Japanese one!

What, Vice: Project Doom? Kind of a cheesy name, and the cover art is pretty bad. I'd say Gun-Dec triumphs here.

Very nice, I'm seeing them 5/14. Considered going the VIP route, but couldn't think of anything I would (or be able to) say to the band at the meet and greet. :P

I love my unsigned Heritage vinyl a lot regardless.

This was the 3rd time I have seen them live, and easily the best. I love Heritage for what it is, and the first time I saw them live (2011) that was 75% of the whole set list. I saw them again in 2012 when they toured with Mastodon & Ghost and they only played a few heavier songs because of the other bands on the tour.

They are recording new stuff now and its the last tour before they fully record the new album in September. I talked to Mikael for a few minutes and he told me the next album is "definitely not Heritage 2" but I doubt we will really ever get Blackwater Park 2 either.

If the setlist is the same for what they have been recently playing it was by far the best show. They played a song from almost every album (except the first 2). Basically playing lots of older stuff with a little bit of Heritage (Haxprocess) thrown in (which they never played on the previous 2 tours. Ghost of Perdition rocked my socks.

I've only seen them once (with Ghost and Mastodon), and I felt that performed the softer stuff best. But I've gotten into their heavier stuff since then, so I look forward to hearing some heavier stuff on this tour.

Bought myself a watch for my birthday:

Image

It's a 70s Omega movement from a Constellation, placed in a 30s art deco case of unknown origin (probably Bulova), and a custom wood effect dial. Quite unusual and I rather like it :)
