It comes with a soundtrack of the game and a few new arrangements of songs as well.
Also comes in a shinier box, for people like us to wank over.
Isn't the download card for 1.01 also included?

The limited edition of Futari includes a 2-CD Mushihimesama Futari Arrange Soundtrack which is bundled with the game in a special slipcase.
Preorder Price: JPY9200 or US$109.90 from NCS.

It's possible they can get the data from Microsoft's Xbox Live statistics.
How is that determined? Just by locale?
Could be IP. No doubt Microsoft are able to store all manner of data associated with consoles connected to their servers. Given Microsofts size and prominence in the world of databases, it's likely frightening the amount of data they store regarding player activity. I'm sure they're easily abe to provide publishers with such data.
I'm going with IP as well. It can't be the Locale because that can be modified by the user. It can't be judged on console region either because people can be anywhere with any region 360. But practically nobody uses a proxy while playing with their 360 online, which means their IP address is showing.
The L.E. has a two-disk soundtrack and special slip-case according to ncsx. I did hear talk about some providers including facplates but this is speculation and certainly gimmicky. I'm more interested in bandanas... Trizeal had the best L.E. because of just that <wish I had one of them bandanas...>

Good idea. I'll send an e-mail when I have the time.
In addition to finally placing my own limited edition pre-order (I figure there's probably not a large chance of a much better deal coming from PA, so I went with NCSX), I also sent an email to thank Asada for one of the very few acts I've ever seen of fan response warranting an opportunity from a company.

Makes me think that they were completely unprepared for this surge of preorders and that they sold WAY more LE's than they could ever put their hands on, even considering all the other places where you could already preorder it.
PlayAsia is making the waiting game, as they probably don't know yet how many copies will be issued and reserved to them.
It could be a mess like DS, with overpreordering first, and then exceeding LE copies afterwards.
I don't see how it'd even be possible for them to fuck this LE release up after the DEathsmiles shambles. Besides just being bloody useless, obvs.
Those sending an email of thanks might also want to suggest they give some indication as to just how L their LEs are in future. I'm sure it gets on the stores' tits, too.

Not speculation, though far more gimmicky than a real faceplate. They were actually just stickers, and they were only available with the LE if you preordered through Cave's shop on the 28th. They sold out rather quickly.

Zoel wrote:They give me the DLC card on the regular edition of Death Smile when I preorder it. So there's probably a good chance to have it.
I pre-ordered my Death Smiles (not LE) but did not get a DLC card from PA.
What did it contain?
It was a card to download full voice. I also Preorder the Limited Edition from NCSX as well and they give a DLC card too. So maybe it might been limited supply.
I don't think this tracklist (scroll down) has been posted yet.
Someone mentioned it upthread now that I look, but my dumb ass didn't realize the CDs in the LE were arranged OSTs of Futari and the original Mushihime-sama. (lol since half of Futari's tracks are basically "arrangements" of Mushihime-sama anyway) Probably going to downgrade to the regular edition now; I thought they were including the original Futari OST + an arrange CD.
Does anyone recognize any of the arrangers? I can't read kanji, so the only one I can immediately point out is Michiko Naruke (Wild Arms composer) on track 9 of the Mushihime-sama CD...not really all that compelling.
I sent an email to NCS yesterday to ask about potential customs reducing shenanigans.
Apparently if you choose a USPS shipping option on any small items (like games), customs charges are considered from US to Canada, and as thus you don't have to pay any :O My already great day just got better.
That's just a head's up for other canadian buyers.
