And with that - I'm finally finished.

It has taken a long time, but I have finally finished watching all moving pictures of Gundam pretty much, except the Musha SD things. I'm really glad I did, at one stage I thought I'd never watch anything non-UC, but well I have to be honest there was no part of ANY Gundam that I didn't enjoy overall, although the later episodes of AGE were a bit emm 'challenging' .

Started watching that a while ago, 1/3 of the way in and it's pretty damn good so far.
Only watched G, Turn A and X so far, what is the original/Zeta period stuff like? It looks horribly dated to me, Stardust Memory looks pretty interesting though

Zeta's art is brilliant, and while I don't understand 'dated' type talk etc. when talking of anime, I will admit that some people seem to genuinely, physically be unable to watch 0079 because of it's art, so I would recommend the 3 movies which are unlike a lot of compilations of series, actually reallyh good. 0083 is very good though I would consider 0080 and 08th MS Team to be way better.

In fairness though, I'm probably the wrong person to answer your question as I 110% love all UC Gundam (except some parts of ZZ).

The original and Zeta are flawless, watch them.

Things I've been watching:
Gundam ZZ: Took me 6 months to finish that shit, it's horrible.
Zankyou no Terror: liked it, but the 4th episode was so stupid.
Turn A Gundam: Loving it.
GITS Arise 3: Hated that Motoko in love so much. This is my least GITS adaptation so far.
Ideon: Tomino. So violent, so beautiful.
Love Live: This.

Any opinions on Votoms? I'm planning to watch it.

I have only so far watched the Votoms series and one OVA - it is very good, if a little depressing at times, it's got a very strange 'feel' to it I think.

Grabbed from the library the complete collection of Gunslinger Girl last night and watched 2 episodes. Never heard of it and it sounded like an interesting anime to watch. Or is it I am wasting my time with this series.

It's not one of my favorites, it's not one of the few titles I'd order someone to go see, but it's well above doo-doo level. And man can I tell you about doo-doo.

I don't regret or revel in having seeing it, but your mileage may vary. If sad grade school girl assassins assassinating and sadifying the place left and right sounds compelling to you, give it a shot.

rewatched Metal Skin Panic: Madox-01 - still love it.

I didn't realise Anno was involved in it.

The original manga is better and actually reaches a conclusion. Seven Seas published the remaining volumes in English not long ago.

Nice lot! I take it that's an older vinyl figure from the look of it? I dig those whenever I can find them for cheap. Damn hard to find any modern figures of older anime, unfortunately.

they're actually cold cast resin and polystone that lot. They all weigh a tone, particularly the Kenshiro and Juuza statues in the back. I do have a bunch of PVC and Vinyl figures elsewhere though, mainly comprising of Lupin and Cobra stuff.

Oh, nice, I should have known, as I've almost bought those Dirty Pair ones numerous times now. Hadn't seen those particular Hokuto ones in the back before until now. Nice stuff!

those Hokuto no Ken statues were produced by a company by the name Noda-Ya during the mid-2000's. They were made in limited quantities and they only managed to put out four characters from the HnK universe, which is unfortunate.
The remaining two I don't have are Souther and Rei.

(best image of Rei I could find sorry)

Souther isn't too difficult to come by on places like Yahoo Japan and Rakuten, but Rei almost never comes up for sale, and when he does they're asking like $400+!!
I'd love to have 'em but not at prices like that.

Yeah I’m not too positive on exactly how much of the animation he was directly involved with, but you can be sure he was most probably present in some of the more demanding and complex scenes involving the Madax unit.
