It's so weird hearing those oldschool tracks at normal speed, every mix I've heard them has them sped up a bit, haha [there's usually stuff from '93-95 spun in, so the speed increase is necessary]

also, kickin' track you did there
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Yar, back in 92 you could mix that stuff with House. After 93 the bpm went up to about 170.

Little track I did with the analog four, mono machine and machinedrum, live mix.

https://soundcloud.com/infinity-curve/eva-alone

A4 on the pad, monomachine on leads and bass and machinedrum on samples and percussion

Haven't been recording much lately, been focusing more on sound design. The fm+ machine in the mono machine has quickly become one of my favs to work with, so many timbral possibilities!!

Been quietly listening to a lot of the tunes in this thread for a while now. Quality stuff!

Really nice work jonny5, just dig the ambient style on that.

Gotta say, I like the feel of a lot of your jungle/d&b charlie chong, reminds me a lot of early T-Power with your vocal drops in your production. I write jungle myself, mainly old skool ragga jungle but I do some simple atmospheric tunes every now and then. Now that all my commitments are over I'm going to start getting back into production again. Plus I got some new toys to play with. :D

I've only made music for some games I've made in the past. May I link the games? At least one of them has a sound test option, so you can just hear the music instead of playing the crap game :)

curses gave me some advice on IRC about it, i will probably revisit it and improve this. But if that doesnt happen, this just might be stage 1 music.

my newest project is a short collection of remixes I put together in recent years...

http://opsfromchi.bandcamp.com/album/re-turns-vol-1

a pair of soul/r&B tracks and a pair of alternative pop songs from artists I'd never heard of before I fired up the DAW all got the treatment. I really like how these came out.

Battle Against an Underhanded Foe

Here's a track inspired by RPG boss-fights. I think I came up with it back in high-school, many many years ago. I really have to start putting all of my ideas into actuality, and have like a portfolio or something.

Pretty gritty; I like it. The sitar-y type synth sounds pretty wicked. The melodic line jumps around a lot, which I think in this case helps out with the song's tone.

I would recommend trying to tone down on the overdrive on some of the instruments. Also try to pan the instruments a bit so they are not all falling down on the dead center, which can make it hard to understand what's going on in a piece.

I made an FM soundtrack for a shmup that as far as I know has yet to be released (2 years now?). I should really post it soon, so people can appreciate it.

new upload from my In Flight EP. dirty boom bap steez.

this was originally a mild-mannered MPC composition from my back catalogue, subsequently transformed into a belligerent, lo-fi roughneck courtesy of some SP-404 freakery. I lke the results 8)

Thank you. This is new territory for me so practical advice is very much appreciated :)

woo, really diggin' that guitar-ish synth that shows up at the halfway point. I don't necessarily think things always need to be compared to more "known" artists, but this track has some of that Com Truise-type retro-future stuff goin' on.

The 'guitar solo' was just the Analog Four played live

Glad you dug it. And ya, most of my recent output has that 80's future-retro thing going on.

New set:

01. Jeremy Olander & Kent - Petroleum (Original Mix)
02. Miguel Bastida - Gracias (Red Meat Therapy Remix)
03. Paskal & Urban Absolutes - Take The Fall feat. Pete Josef (Manuel Tur Remix)
04. Booka Shade - Blackout: White Noise feat. Chelonis R. Jones (Club Mix)
05. Milton Jackon - The Rhythm Track (Jimpster Remix)
06. Art Bleek - Quiet Storm
07. Slam - Variance (Gel Abril Remix)
08. Bingo Players - Devotion
09. Manuel Tur & D-play - Conchord
10. Kevin Yost - PGY

Had a lot of fun with this one, did a little bit of sampling and been messing with the MIDI Fighters and remix decks in Traktor. Definitely going to need to get into a better controller at some point as I frequently hit technicial limitations that frustrate me. Trying to figure out if it's better to get something like the Numark Mixtrack Quad, or just add on a Kontrol X1 to my existing setup ...

Threw this out on my netlabel in the recently created EX series. An experiment of sorts to see if all the jungle/dnb drum loops should be gotten rid of. Turns out that is a no as this is quite nice sounding. Sort of a chill vibe with random loops at the bpm they are made at, so uhh interesting to say the least.

New acid track: https://soundcloud.com/dj_emphatic/guy-gadbois-lacid

It was written/mixed/produced fully in ReBirth 2.01 and just some mastering processing was added because, loudness wars.
