Just unlocked Type Z. I ragequit a lot, so does that mean that every time I hit ESC I have to re-unlock it? That would be annoying. Please tell me it's permanently saved.

It's permanently saved. Just pressing esc right after buying it might cause it to disappear with all your stars as well.

I think I know what he means. Even though I disagree and like the graphics alot. I do notice that they look kind of grainy, with a lot of jagged edges sometime (the mountain top right before the 2nd boss comes to mind ). But whatever, the art and colors are awesome. Maybe a little more polish could be there. But the game is still beautiful.

Ok, the manual was uploaded in japanese/english by Yotsubane. Nzero was thanked as well, pretty awesome.

I fail at japanese, lol. Well, the fact is he acknowledged the english version, which is a good thing. Right? :P

This is a very nice bonus, its always a bummer when doujin devs make their homepage or manual as a picture file instead of plain text making sure that no gaigin can use google translate (RebRank im looking at you!)

To say nothing of Hellsinker...
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

At least with Hellsinker's manual you can plug quite a bit into Google Translator. eXceed 3rd Jade Penetrate Black Package is the worst, that I can recall, as the manual is nothing but image files. Because of that, I haven't been able to figure that game's score system out to this day.

Anyway, I wonder how Yotsubane came to know of the English manual. I suppose someone just sent him an e-mail letting him know, but it still makes me wonder if he has been lurking this thread for some reason.

Funny how this works: I got a new high score and reached stage 4 this evening on original. Then I beat that score, but only got to the stage 3 boss. Then I beat that score, but didn't even make it to the stage 3 boss. Risk/Reward anyone?

or maybe I'm just a very inconsistent player...

Because I e-mailed Yotsuba to ask permission to distribute the translation so the westerners who bought the game could also lrn2play. I think it was very kind of him to mention it on the Yotsubane blog, hopefully it can reach even more of its intended audience that way.

I've had the demo for over a month.

I'll have the actual game here soon. Looking forward to it.

Just hit a bizarre glitch in Simple Mode where after clearing everything else , the Stage 3 Boss just hasn't bothered appearing and my ship has been flying over an empty screen for 40 mins.
I'm leaving it running now just to see what happens :D
Here I am but where's that pesky Maelstrom?:

and 38 mins later he's still not here:

Maybe he popped round to Evaccaneer Doom's for a cup of tea.
I've never been stood up by a boss before lol

You couldn't get into the graphics because they are pretty bad. It's not you, it's the game!

Just got mine in the mail today, thanks rancor!

A little late to the party but my copy arrived today and I just wanted to give a big thanks to Rancor for selling this lovely gem of a game. The stage two boss is probably my favorite boss fight ever.

Edit: Why aren't my scores or button configurations saving? :(
