I had a rash on my hands and was prescribed an anti-fungal/steroid cream to treat it, now my tastebuds are all fucked up from the medication. I can only taste really sweet stuff and super spicy/salty food. I've been dumping hot sauce on everything for want of flavor.
Feedback will set you free.

Clueless do-gooder bellends who work for private corporations which exist only to leech off the state, specialisaing in torturing unemployed people to find a job when there are no jobs, under threat of destitution. Punch yourself up your fuck, you stupid cunts. The only people you're helping are the government and the vermin you work for.

Of course that really all started with the conservatives who decided that if you weren't looking for a job / didn't have a job that you didn't deserve any assistance, and at the same time decided to do nothing about public employment programs. Bet a lot of folks could use a CCC type job now. In the US, though, this isn't a starter because overall the jobs market seems to be doing much better finally, but nevermind anybody who doesn't fit into that comfortable picture of "we saved the economy, time to fall back on the old plans again"

Unfortunately, very few of the jobs created in recent years pay anything close to a living wage, and those outfits that do are still refusing to hire anyone who doesn't come in the door with ten years' experience in the specific position they're looking for.Ed Oscuro wrote:In the US, though, this isn't a starter because overall the jobs market seems to be doing much better finally

Yeah it's the same situation in pretty much all of Europe as well (except it doesn't create any jobs at all, not even the shittiest), the new trend is to re-establish a vintage two-class system basically getting rid of the average middle class worker.
- Millions of underpaid and disposable would-be workers struggling with less and less income and social aid,
- Select few super-qualified and overpaid elite doing whatever they want out of that mass.
Soon we will be back to the Middle-Ages ! Yay !

"Your car is finished, I managed to get the mark off the seat, and the red paint off the bumper."
.. what red paint?
People who can't operate their cars near other peoples property need to get points added to their license just the same as if they broke the speed limit etc.

I've heard that a lot of people involved in social work organizations really are too class-focused. Live in the wrong place or don't make enough money? Eh, it's your fault. Always!
These folks do have a little skin on the line, presumably, if they raise a fuss and some local lawmaker is positioned to close down their offices. But I think a lot of them are actually better positioned to do something than they think, so in the end the only people who really know the issues and care are people in really small organizations / private individuals, and they can't get much done because the system isn't set up in their favor.

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
My English professor makes his points in the most roundabout way ever. He spent the previous week (that's two class periods) droning on about theses (note: AFTER we got an essay assignment) and then give us a group assignment that wasn't exactly clear what we were supposed to do. The class can get somewhat interesting when he's talked about an essay/short story we were supposed to read, but seriously. When almost half the class has dropped out I'm pretty sure that means there's something going on.
By the way, this is the second time one of my professors (both english teachers) have been super old and weird. There are more issues with this but I just glossed over them.

People who comment on Facebook posts by tagging their friends. Seriously, you see a post on Facebook stating something interesting, click the comments link and only see a list of random people's names. Too lazy to share?

Haha, Facebook. Remember this? Discover mag had a recap of it in their year's wrapup issue and one scientist noted he wouldn't have to ask permission to do similar things at other sites. The standard? Only "minor harm" will be inflicted on individuals. Yech...

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
The combined clusterfuck that is the Xbox 360 interface and the eBay seller I dealt with.
Ordered a copy of a game. Didn't get it, got another. At this point the seller was good and offered to send the right game right away. Left a glowing review when I got the game, without testing it. Still doesn't feel totally undeserved as sending two games wiped out any profits they could have made, but leaves me in the lurch meanwhile.
Finally decided to install the game. Usual fucking around with the 360 A/V cables (I use a shitty all-in-one TV near the wired net connection point for updating the 360). Where is the install option again? Plus, I forget how to return to the 360 dash. Holding down the button brings up the power off option, of course, bypassing the menu.
Go to install a game, and it starts chugging along for a while - and THEN asks you which storage device to use. That should be asked up front.
10% done...go to get a snack...come back, it's stuck on 18%. Try again, stuck on 18%.
Game might be salvageable with resurfacing - there's just the nasty circular tracks that indicate it hit the surface of somebody's 360. Back to eBay to get another copy, though. I guess for $3 shipped I shouldn't complain too much.
Edit: eBay now seems to be schizophrenic about its Condition filter. New or Used only, or display the full range? Didn't notice that before.

Wait, what? Skykid finally got his ass banned? Links to what happened? His profile doesn't say he's banned? Running into someone who's determined to argue that inertia and acceleration in euroshmups is a fun mechanic and who can't understand why that's a bad thing for precision gameplay. Not to mention health systems and gigantic hitboxes...

Technical: What the hell is up with Firefux making it look like I'm re-downloading a file, only to have it cancel out and disappear from the library entirely?

Re: Little things that annoy the hell out of you
Yeah, that one forces me to clear my download history every time I finish downloading something. I have no idea why on earth something like that happens and it is really annoying.

That the classic consoles used cardboard boxes instead of hard plastic cases. I really wish Nintendo would strike a deal to retroactively produce new clamshells for all those old titles, limited to each game's original production run. Imagine a shelf lined with 3DS styles cases for your original GameBoy collection. But... it'll never happen :/
EDIT - Well this is interesting. It may not be first party but it's a good alternative.
