Call of Duty... Exciting. Were they trying to make sure there was *nothing* interesting said at this reveal?

Is it weird that I can't stop thinking who in the audience is clapping their hands, acting all enthusiastic, and how much they're paid to do so.

take a look at the audience. they aren't even clapping. they're most likely just playing clap-tracks

They seemed to forget to show any Call of Duty gameplay. Or any of the 8 new exclusive franchises they have.

Why did they do this presentation again?

So that they could show off their intelligent TV functions OFC. Actually, that was eerily the most proper part of the presentation - everything else was just "oh this thing is so rad, you'll see, but you can't...yet".

Both were infinitely more exciting than this.

Media streaming, sports games and DLC with timed exclusivity. WTF.

I only watched the last half hour, but this event seemed pretty terrible. I hope there will be some next gen games worth caring about at E3...

Based on the hardware specs, the Wii U is boned. So is my gaming PC.

No chance the Wii U is getting multiplatform next gen games, so it looks like it'll be this/PS4 or a new PC. If there's no DRM, I could be swayed to the next gen consoles because Windows 8 is offensive.

I just watched the press conference, and this is THE most disappointed that I've ever been after a new system reveal. XBOX 1 is a glorified cable box! OK, the technology is really cool, but who friggin' cares?! I don't care about the next version of Kinect, or voice recognition, or hand gestures in a video game console, which this hardly even is. They spent so much time talking about the television features, and so little talking about games. I know, E3 is coming up, but I already don't want this console.

Honestly, before it was over, I thought about getting a Wii U-people can call it crap, and whatever other adjective they can think of, but it's a VIDEO GAME CONSLE first and foremost.

I don't care how many shmups are released for the XBOX 1; I'm not buying this thing. Epic fail, Microsoft; epic.

Oh yeah, and the cherry on the top is that Microsoft gave NO information about whether or not we'll be able to play used games on the XBOX 1, or whether or not you can play a game on the system if it's offline. They didn't even answer the rumors going around.

Valve has recently started to release Steam games on Linux. Ubuntu FTW.

my guess is that we won't learn about that any time prior to the date the console is released

This is.. pretty bad. I spent a small fortune on XBLA/IG games. Hopefully they'll work something out...
