Those Arrange/Novice scores were done only a couple of days after first picking up the game, so I know I can beat them with the experience I've gained since. Currently too preoccupied with a 1cc of Black Label Original though ... :x

Damn I was mightily pleased with my 99.3 mill in BL Original but looks like I have a ways to go...

Also what does Lx# refer to so that I can take it down for my eventual all clear?

Lx# is number of lives at the end of the run, or that what I figured it was. Fx. ALL (Lx5) is all stages completed and ended the game with 5 lives. you get x amount of points for each life left. I think it to get an idea of how many points the player got before the lives left bonus.

:) I had a real Doh! moment last night when I was messing about on Novice Original and saw my lives stock when I cleared it. Must have been wearing my stupid hat when I posted that.

died 2 times on stage 5,... dont even know how thats possible. On top of that I missed the 1up :x

Can anyone tell me how to gain multiplier at the bosses? I usually use up all my multiplier before a boss, as I know it will just keep counting down till you take down a form, which can take a while and you lose much valuable multiplier :?

watched a super play of mushime sama futari pcb and I noticed this dude gained multiplier on some bosses on their first form by using normal shot and just dodging bullets? He was playing arcade maniac though, so that might have something to do with it?

Use C-shot while the gauge is red to gain multiplier fast.

doesnt seem to work in Novice Maniac? im using C-Shot. theres only 2 right? and a bomb? c-shot is the regular shot (r.trigger) and a-shot is the one where you move slow, like the laser in DDP? multiplier is decreasing. bar underneath is blue and the end of it is red.

still decreases on c.shot :x

If you're talking about why the multiplier gradually decreases on the boss, that happens all the time. Maybe the replay you watched was some God Mode replay.

it was a superplay from Mushihimesama Futari (PCB). Guess thats a difference from the arcade and console version then.

There is no differences like that between the PCB and port. The only way to raise your counter on the boss is, like everywhere else, to collect amber gems. I think what Khoa meant to say was that you can raise your counter quickly by using the A shot while your gauge is in the red, in the very same way you produce large ambers from normal enemies. Of course, you'll only get gems when you take the boss into his next form, and the more bullets on the screen to get cancelled, the better.

Just starting to learn this game. It is so incredibly fun and rewarding, it might pass Dodonpachi as my favorite game. :shock:

I think I can pull at least 300m pretty soon here. Once I get a good stage 3 route I need to start learning 4. Whenever I try stage 4 though, I swear to god, NOTHING DIES FAST ENOUGH. The goddamn big enemies (especially the caterpillars and the large fliers like in the beginning of the level) just never die when I want them to, even to the most powerful laser in the game, wtf.

Pretty happy about the Reco run. St. 4 and 5 really clicked more than usual runs. Lost my first life right before Larsa... then just one more. Not bad! This Reco score may be hard for me to beat. But I'll keep at it a bit more before I move on to trying Maniac or so.

Should've been a 1CC ;_;, Got to Larsa's last phase with nothing left, and the latter half of stage 5 I still had 3 lives left after the hidden 1up, but then just started dieing right and left with bombs in stock.
Also, I think not playing on score attack seemed to help me on some sort of psychological level.
