I get 25Mbps down and 7Mbps up on the new VDSL service for free, because I work for an ISP ;) Oh and a static IP and no traffic caps either.

Today I thought I'd hit paydirt -- been looking for DB15 connectors and cables to do a proper joystick setup on my supergun, and came across these shitty old PC gamepads at a local electronics surplus store for $2.50. They have the old style DB15 male joystick connectors on them, but unfortunately there are only 10 wires in the cable, so I won't be able to do what I want.

I might still try it out with the DB15 on my Namco stick. I can at least get a 4-button setup working properly.

I'll probably end up buying a male DB15 solder-cup connector and just hacking two CAT5 ethernet cables together with some loom or wrap to make a custom cable.

Edit: Crud it's only got 9 wires. Well, that's ok for a 3-button setup anyway.
Edit2: You know what, why am I fucking around ... Monoprice has DB15 M/F cables for < $3, then I just need a male DB15 connector on my supergun.

Does it come w/ the at Zeiss lens? That's their only auto-focus I think.

No the lens did not come with the camera... i already had it since a couple of years back and it costed almost as much as the A99 :?

All Carl Zeiss lenses for Sony cameras (previously Minolta) are auto focus, afaik so is is this exclusive to Sony because of some deal that started with Minolta (wich was first with autofucos SLR's).

You should see the UK..... Expensive, oversubscribed, some people can get fast download speeds (ours is 90mb), but upload is ... worthless. I think it tops out at 90/4 on our line.

You should see Argentina, 5MB for around $40 per month. That's why I'm using a cheap mobile modem service and spend $6 per month on it.

Not extremely exciting, but I got a High Score Kit for my Gyruss board. No more taking pictures of my latest scores!

Ah, cool. Didn't know that. I bought my first Zeiss lens and the thing is fucking sick. Really like it. It's MF only though, but I'm not letting it get in the way of enjoying it.

Have you seen the upcoming RX1? Holy shit... that thing looks sick. I don't have a problem w/ the price, but I do have a problem w/ the price of the accessories. If I could get it w/ the View Finder for about the list price of the body/lens now, I might gt it. Apparently it takes as good of pictures and has as good if not better ISO processing than my 5d2. :|

Like Sonic Adventure, but with clunkier controls and less interesting stages.

I read an preview about it and they called it "an modern Leica" :)
But i have no interest in it since you can't change the lens.

Well, that's how it goes. Don't start looking at specialized or wide-aperture lenses for specific applications, whatever you do

Got two packages today.

Image
Stuff from Play-Asia. My old USB-PS2 converter broke after 8 or so years of dutiful service, so it was time for a replacement. That one takes four pads. Got a new DualShock2 too since both of mine have been wonky lately. Also a One Piece figurine because I tend to pick up some small toy or figurine when I buy stuff from P-A.

Image
Also this from a dude in Sweden, so I can now record and stream HD consoles (component in/outputs on the back of the thing). A multi-component cable means I can have my Wii and PS2 connected at the same time... and technically the X360 too, but I have the VGA cable for that. And I guess the signal might get a little worse with a multi-cable rather than a dedicated. My only issue is that the USB cable is so short that it's going to require some sketchy positioning of things to allow me to hook it to the computer...
My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself

It does make you wonder exactly what they were thinking. 35mm is a great focal length... but with an interchangeable lens, that thing would dominate.

Why would you need a copy of Nintendo Land when it's already in the box?

It is from one of the boxes actually. I just set it there since I had it out. *shrug*

TRU is having a sale so I'll pick up a couple more games tomorrow.

The toy bug is slowly starting to bite me again. Picked up another one in the line. Love the diecast content and pose-ability. Got three more robot figures coming in. Just buying the cheaper stuff right now at least, haha.
