Anyone know if the dlc discs can be used over and over... on different 360(s) and live accounts?

Yes. A group of us rinsed the shit out of a friend's disc and didn't have to spend a penny.

Glad to hear this!

I never understood why CAVE would make a few of its dlc, only available to first print buyers (example: mushi matsuri 1.5 mode) and not as dlc on the xbox live marketplace. Well actually, I think I understand where they were coming from: thinking exclusive first prints would move more copies. I don't think this is a successful strategy though at all.

Hopefully, enough discs are able to circulate to remedy CAVE's prior idiocy concerning "first print dlc," so that everyone can get their hands on all the modes.

Maybe just to offer the joy of having the DLC disc in physical format.

More and more, it makes sense that this whole collection is just going to be re-released on xbox-one as Skykid has predicted.

IMO, Cave should have kept the Shooting Collection as a regularly stocked item, not a limited one restricted only to Amazon.jp for only a couple of days...

I'm confident it would have continued to sell in good numbers at such an amazing price for years to come.

Also seems like the dlc discs would sell on their own as well, considering all the people out there missing the first print dlc(s)...

I'm pretty confident a black (label  ) market for their multi-use dlc discs will soon surface...

Either way, I'll be capitalizing on this all the way.

Maybe an "Ultimate mega ultra shin kan kan kan collection" which would include Ketsui and DOJ.

This is what I got:
Hello

Microsoft send the dlc discs one per one because we ask them a lot of dlc discs for our customers.
Don't worry, I hope we send you soon :)
We ask you to be patient.

Sorry for delay

Best Regards

this is the exact email I got when I asked them about the disc. Only time will tell now.

Just received my replacement DLC disc. They also sent me another cardboard box: instead of having a white sticker with Japanese characters on, that one has the Japanese characters printed on it. If anyone's interested, I could take some pictures.

^This

I just received them too, here's a picture:
On top: The new box + fixed DLC disc.
Bottom: Case with old DLC disc.
On the right side you can see a little of the old box too.

this is the exact same thing I received. Thanks for doing the work for me.

Are you transfering the new DLC disc in the previous DLC's case? And then are you moving the contents of the previous box into the new box with the printed characters?

P.S. Any use in the first DLC disc when you have the second one, or is it redundant (i.e. contents of the first one being included in the second DLC disc as well)?

I believe the dlc disc initially included in the second collection box was the same as the one featured in the first collection, hence the updated/replacement discs mail out.

Damn......

When Nippon-Yasan emailed me that the replacement dlc had shipped out to me, I wrote them once again to make sure they were sending me two replacement dlc discs instead of one since I ordered two of the Kan collections.

They never wrote back though, so I assumed both had shipped out, but now based on your info, it looks like I'm just getting the (1) and only replacement dlc disc they will be getting (or at least are presently assuming to get?).

Here's an idea:

I think someone should seriously offer "a rental," in the trade forum for the dlc disc (to trusted forum members w/ abundant feedback/posts), since it can be used again and again.

For something minimal (perhaps deposit+$20+postage/pp fees), the disc could be passed around to those in need!

Just a thought though... probably a dumb idea.

I'll be selling both kits when I get mine in the mail in a month or two as well as the revised dlc disc separately, but honestly since buying them on a credit card w/ high interest, going to flip them as high as I can on ebay. Haven't thought what the newer dlc disc would be worth, but assume it to demand quite a grip for just that alone.

So what would be the price for the old DLC disc?
Is this accurate?:
Elixir wrote:All of the DLC is worth around 9600 MSP ($130 USD), but that isn't including the stuff not for sale like MMP's theme, Futari 1.01, Mushi 1.5, Akai Katana's voice pack, DFK's 1.51, MMP's arrange, etc.
And what about the price of the revised one?

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that you can just save the DLC contents to USB stick and that the content wasn't locked to a profile, meaning that the USB content could just be uploaded and shared with anyone. If that's the case, then I can't see the DLC discs being worth very much.

Not me personally, I bought all the game related DLC when it all first came out with the special/ltd and 1st editions. Makes you wonder why they didn't protect the disc content though.

I had exactly the same problem with them. They ended up giving me a credit code for £26 to use on their website. I never wanted to use them again but I have used the code with no problems. Still haven't recd my order though. :(

I'd be interested in loaning a DLC or purchasing a memory stick with the contents on. 8)

:o Ohhhhh.... so you can't throw these files on a .rar/.zip file archiving site on the net for the masses and throw em' on your own usb via that route? You actually have to have the usb stick formatted from your 360 and transfer the files to usb sticks from there (I take it from an original dlc disc?

EDIT:
bcass wrote:Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that you can just save the DLC contents to USB stick and that the content wasn't locked to a profile, meaning that the USB content could just be uploaded and shared with anyone.
Oh, just re-read your post again Bcass, so assuming that the files could be uploaded to a file sharing service.
Don't know why I found this confusing. I'm an idiot.

If this is the case, I agree, can't see the dlc worth too much at all myself. There goes that pile of cash!
