For what it's worth, a post on Cave's Twitter account has confirmed that this version will be playable on NTSC-U consoles:

So THAT'S why all the Americans are talking about importing this. :P

I think it's grand that they take a jap-only game and make it available to not only one, but two new regions. Let's see this happen to the rest of the region locked games, or at least DS2 and Akai.

Does it work on JAP console?

If Cave themselves is acknowledging this, then I guess there's no chance of an official US release. Ah well, I'll get to play it anyway.

No, the UK version will not work on JPN 360s.

Why would you be interested in an American release when you can play the European?

Well you'll have to pay for international shipping and you won't be able to play the superior Black Label.

Yes you can.

Make a UK XBL account, set it up with Paypal and you're good to go. I already bought 400 points from my new account to make sure, and it's all good.

Nice point. I was anxious about not getting Black Label \ Black Label Arrange.

Now that my DLC question is sorted...
Has anybody managed to get NCSX to commit to a release date?
NCSX.com went from displaying November 17th (I think - don't quote me) to a gut-wrenchingly ambiguous "November\December 2011"...

Been waiting a long time to play this game, and I know a month is fairly (OK, ok...ABSOLUTELY) inconsequential in the grand scheme of things - but I cannot help getting anxious.

Dash it all! Fiddlysticks!

You can rest easy about Black Label, but Black Label Arrange is another story.

I've tried to order from Zavvi, but it seems that their code for processing Paypal payments is screwed, or they're not accepting them at this time. Anyone else had this problem?

Well, pre-ordered from NCSX...hopefully it comes by Veteran's Day weekend so I have the three day weekend to play.

Anyone happen to know of a guide for creating a UK Xboxlive account?

I made a JPN one but that was years ago, and I can't really remember how I did it.

When I made a JP account a little while back I found several sets of step-by-step instructions online, I'm sure a Google search would give you what you need.

Nothing special to it, just enter a UK address.

OK so to clarify...if I want to use my primary account to play this game for leaderboards and achievements and stuff, I just create a new UK account, buy the dlc with it, and then it's accessible to my main account as long as the console is online? If it's offline I need to play from the account that purchased it?

As long as the account used to buy it is bound to that particular console (which it will be when you create it), it should be available to every other account on there.
And as far as I know, leaderboards, etc. are bound to the region of the game, not the console.

Well yeah, I just meant I wanted to appear as my primary account on the leaderboard.

Yes, that's fine. You have to play on the console you purchased the DLC on to give a different gamertag access to it.

As for making the UK gamertag... keep in mind if you use a Hotmail email address for that gamertag, Live will probably use the region setting on the email address rather than asking you during the gamertag signup.

Got a nice review in GamesTM the other day: 8/10! In any case, it was just nice to see a Cave game in a UK games mag. [EDIT and I was beaten to it, sorry!]

And I would buy this on the spot, along with Deadly Premonition if it wasn't region locked for some arcane reason :( :( :(

The price for Black Label DLC has been announced as 800 MSP.

That's a steal, considering the Futari BL DLC is like 1200. No Ketsuipachi, but DFKBL is satisfying enough. Cheers, Rising Star.

Zavvi finally let me order. I'm prepared to get it pretty late--I've got no shortage of games in the meantime, and I saved like $30 by not ordering from NCSX.

I think both are rather expensive, considering it's the price of a full game on XBLA, not just a new mode. But if people still buy it, fine with me.

Probably because it was never DLC to begin with.

I doubt Rising Star has the means to release the game twice, so I'd expect Cave will let them release Ketsuipachi as DLC.

...everytime I read this type of comment (which is quite a lot) I think 'where's the evidence'?

How many CAVE games on the PS/Saturn/PS2 had Black Label or Matsuri versions included?
