Yay! I was wondering if you'd do this!

1.01 - Original - Palm
spineshark - 27,843,078 - Stage 3 - Normal

Was trying to get 30m, and would've if I hadn't died twice on stage 2. Oh well, I'm getting better at the boss, and the first half of stage 3. Those beetles not canceling their bullets throws me almost every time ^_^

Time for some arrange, which I'm really starting to enjoy.

EDIT: Arrange - Original
spineshark - 2,470,153,826 - ALL (Lx4)

Black Label - 360 - Original
spineshark - 442,921,002 - ALL (Lx1)
1.5 is better. The combination of crazy slowdown and crazier rank-ups isn't quite working for me.

1.5 - X360 - Original - Palm
Aquas - 209,199,130 - Stage 5 Boss - Normal

Let's just push those hundred million scores off of there, yep. :D I was playing Reco Normal for a while, but once I tried Normal Palm I now like him more.

X360 -1.5 - Maniac - Reco (Normal)

Schrodinger's Cat - 248,398,374 - Stage 4

I was scoring pretty decently until I died two stupid deaths in a row on stage 4 and botched nearly every grasshopper/catepillar scoring opportunity.

Moving on to Maniac after spending the past 1.5 weeks playing Original, I think I like this mode better. I'll be working hard to make it into the top 50, so hopefully I'll get well over 300 million with a clear within the next week or two.

Updated Maniac score:

X360 - 1.5 - Maniac - Reco - Normal
Schrodinger's Cat - 336,156,427 - Stage 5

#64 on the XBL leaderboards and no clear yet...I'm getting there..

My level 5 totally sucked. Too much being a pussy and holding A, not enough scoring. I died with the 1up building on the screen... if I would have blown the building up, I could have gotten the "die with the 1up on the screen achievement" !!! grr.

One thing of note that pushed my score to over 200 mil near the start of stage 3 was the fact that I made a "mistake" and cashed-in on the spiderweb with approximately 7000 gems on my counter. I usually save up for the spinning bullet tower thingy instead with 9999 gems. Even though my counter was a lot lower, there was so many more bullets and enemies on the screen that I ended up scoring a lot higher than I usually do at that point in the game. I should try cashing in on the spiderwebs next time with the towers firing next time. Perhaps it's what the pros have been doing for years, but I haven't gotten around to watching any maniac replays at all.

EDIT: Ok the exact location I am referring to above is the last spiderweb/tower combination before the midboss. I went into practice mode to try this out a few times. If you have 9999 on your counter and let the tower fire while you cash in on that spiderweb with a lot of enemies/bullets on the screen, the payoff is easily upwards of 35 MILLION POINTS!!! My score for stage 3 alone before the midboss was around 60 million points.

Maniac is so much fun with trying to figure out what pays off the most. Some scoring miscalculations you make only cost you 1-3 million points, while others can cost well... 20-30 million.

I'd like to note that I did this on an old 7" LCD (which I put in TATE and has a really fuzzy/blurry picture lol) over at my parents' house using the 360 analog stick. I don't know why I did better with an analog stick than with my STICK stick, but whatever. Haven't really played this in about a week and a half. Pretty proud of myself!

I think this is like the third or fourth time I've ever tried Arrange mode. I need to figure out how to get my counters up to 9999 faster. =/

Given that I'd been playing fairly regularly for the last few weeks, I figured I'd throw up a list of what I've still got on the Leaderboards.

Novice - Maniac - Reco
Pringer - 328,768,633 - Complete ( Lx5) - Normal

Novice - Ultra - Reco
Pringer - 636,998,879 - S5Boss - Normal

Arrange - Original
Pringer - 1,294,441,797 - Complete (Lx5)

Arrange - Maniac
Pringer - 703,089,335 - Complete ( Lx?)

Arrange - Ultra
Pringer - 506,544,098 - Stage4

And my meager score that has been a lot more work...

Black Label - Xbox - Original
Pringer - *131,095,257 - Stage4 - Reco

That's the only time I've gotten to stage 4, and the only time I've gotten the extend. I think attempting to score is getting me killed with extreme vengeance. Point-blanking is hard...

Edited the format, seems I was a bit off...
