Aside from the satisfaction of having it first, there's not much special about this system. A new BC Phatstation 3 with a decent HD is much more impressive.

Just bought an X-Clamp kit a few days ago and now my Xbox360 is working again! :)
Was a fucking royal pain in the ass to do, but let's hope it was worth it and it stays working.

The Getaway: High Speed 2 pinball machine. Traded a Batsugun PCB plus cash to fellow member/neighbor Joe T. on here for it. No pics of it as its the same as any other one you'd find out on the internet, plus it has to stay "hidden" at his house until I buy a house of my own, lol.

Nice choice, that's another of my favorites. Good playfield layout that keeps things moving, and the supercharger is a fun playfield toy too. Be sure to keep the volume cranked to whatever extent you can get away with.

Yep, the louder, the better. ^_~

Another cool pinball game is William's 1989 Police Force. I like how the machine gives you the chance to win "5 Free Games" as shown on the upright marquee/scoreboard. ^_~

Perhaps I shall beat PC Engine Fan X! at his own game, but Police Force was supposed to be a Batman themed pinball. Thus the car that moved up and down. I used to play the shit out of Police Force as a kid and always was pumped when I get the 5 free games. There used to be a number to Williams to buy pinball t-shirts, but it never worked. Always pissed me off when that flashed up there on Police Force.

Anyway, I'm not a giant fan of Getaway, but the price was definitely right, plus it is literally 2 houses away. I need to get my Whirlwind up and going though.

I have been after a second one of those for SO LONG - very rare in the UK.

Unfortunately it's not all a happy story. The machine was sold to me as fully working and in nice condition, and it was when the couriers picked it up.

http://www.system11.org/temp/europlay

The company was AGP Couriers in Birmingham. The damage includes: paint chip to panel, 2 small dents to right side, one which chipped the t-mould, front metal trim ripped off the wood (see the top where the screw holes /were/), damaged monitor chassis shelf with a whole chunk of wood broken out of it, broken monitor neck. I've been talking to the consumer advice people and they've sent me a template letter, the company only offered me the money I paid for the cab back, NOT the shipping, AND they wanted to take the cab back for 'insurance reasons'. Apparently this is against a law from 1982 and I should be able to demand full repair costs from them, and taken them to small claims court if I have to.

Regardless - it's never leaving the house, even if I end up havng to foot the whole bill from my own pocket. Rat bastards.

Also need to buy new casters for the back - it has a slightly different size to the ones on my existing machine so I can't quite line them up perfectly. New sticks and buttons to match already arrived - but not much point doing anything right now until I can source a new monitor. Rather than a full control relayout like I did on the other (hence 2 extra blanked holes), this one I'm going to be turning into 3 button only.

I might even stick a new screen in both of them depending on cost, the existing one has started to look a little tired.

It sounds like the movers at AGP Couriers don't know jackshit how to move expensive (and rare) arcade game cabinets in the first place. Could it have possible to have picked it up in person knowing well that it would be in safe hands for the journey back home, Bloodflowers?

It was too far..

And Sven - yeah, I have no idea why the button layout is the default for them - one on the left i drilled 2 extra holes to create that sort of fan layout instead. This one will be a sinple 3 button triangle, for veritcal games mostly.

got the skates like 2 weeks ago....just threw in some new wheels cuz the ones that came stock were garbage....i ate them in like 3 sessions :x :?

quite liking the skates....extremely light obviously, and the grooves and souls are perfect....

definitely finding i have better control with these when grinding cuz there is so little between my foot and what im grinding....ive been riding freestyle(frames without middle wheels) for years so im used to the frames

and the best part is when i am done skating i just un-buckle them and walk away 8)

09 model... they're neat. I got a chance to check them and I was pleased with them. In fact I consider buying the basic 09 model sometime later this year... Also, I'm a heir to xsjado frames when my bro's bored of them... so far I've been enjoying my Kizer type M diamond block frames on Deshi carbon (yeah, I've finally got used to these boots) 8)

It's a total rip-off, but I have high hopes for Aa! Mujou! Setuna! and I figure there will be some other worthwhile releases down the line so eh. Also if nothing else good comes out for it I can sell it off for a pretty good price most likely.

The DSi isn't as big of a rip-off as you'd think. Some of the DSiWare games are pretty spectacular.

Yeah. Gotta recommend Ouendan and Daigassou (the first of each) though, they're two games which really stood out for me on the DS. There's also those Game Center CX games which you might like.

It's the bar girl game!!! Cute in a somewhat perverse way. Plus, you're getting cyber chicks drunk.

It may not be particularly shocking to you. For example, Assassin's Creed is CERO Z.

A fair number of what would be high-M rated games in the US end up with Z ratings in Japan. These are usually the ones with large amounts of realistic violence. some examples that come to mind are Gears of War, Dead Rising and Fable 2. Presumably games like GTA IV or Dead Space would end up with Z ratings if they were released in Japan as well.

That's basically it. Get the girls drunk and get them to reveal that they're actually psychotic bitches with personality disorders. That's been my experience so far. I can see the appeal of this game and I can see what they were trying to do, bu I can also see that they tried really hard to make this a game in the first place. I'm sure one of the developers at Tamsoft was sitting there at one point going "right, we have good animation with dancing chicks. Now let's add something the player can do. Uh.."
Etrian wrote:CERO Z? Do I WANT to know? Er.. clearly I do, but I'm afraid to ask. :|
It's chaos;head noah and it's CERO Z because of shit like this:

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage

And that's just stuff from the PC version. The 360 version has things like this (massive spoilers)

cVZbA.jpg
HOhUN.jpg

So it's understandably CERO Z. Even though there's no naked scenes and this is technically not an eroge, because those aren't going to see the light of day on consoles, there's still a significant amount of gore and content to push it over the edge. I especially like how lazy they are in making their CGs.

This is totally not a barely photoshopped camera shot, right guys?
