Holy shit is right! I enjoyed watching this several times before I realized something familiar. When Penelope throws that little guy off the cliff, he is making the same scream as Ketsui's Game Over!

I guess this is public domain type of scream, as its been used in video games and movies all over the place. I always thought it was out of place for Cave to use this effect at the game over, but maybe it was a tribute to this interesting meme? Not.
