Having a camera I don't hate and can carry around much more easily should = many more shitty hipster pictures taken and we all know the world needs more of those.

Hehehe!
Kidding aside, the CoreGrafx really puts some scale to that PVM (I assume it's a PVM).
12 inch?
I love the picture on those small high-end CRTs...my buddy has an old Zenith 13" - I've never seen a PCB look as crisp and "together" than on that tiny Zenith.
Maybe it's something to do with pixel density? Obviously a 320x240 game will look tighter shrunken down, but it seems that the image is just altogether more crisp - no pixel bleeding or whatever.
Cool shit. Want one. (Want an NEC XM29 more though....:p)
I picked up a Sony BVM (20") not too long ago. Insane quality. No visible pixel aperture whatsoever. It's like looking at a LCD (minus all the processing). It's pixel density most likely yes, plus this is a 15kHz only model.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I've been looking for a good PCE Flashcart....
Link?
I am really tempted to pick one up, getting Ridge Racer R4 in the mail soon [no more emulation, and it was really cheap, supposedly complete, hopefully it has the Ridge Racer Turbo disc], and eventually some other games. How good are they? Does the twist feel natural? Amazon has some new-in-box white ones for $20 or so, plus shipping, so I'm interested.Ghegs wrote:
A new neGcon, since at the rate I'm using my current one, it will probably die sooner or later. And this one's black. With a box.

A painful amount...and my firstborn now has to be called Kevin.pixeljunkie wrote:Gotta ask...what'd that ZAS run you?
At first the twisting thing might feel weird, but it shouldn't take you too long to get used to it and after that it feels pretty great and very smooth. Some games allow you to configure it very accurately (so you can set how far you need to twist it to get the maximum amount of turn) but even if not, it's still fun to play with. And since neGcon is needed to play many PS1 racing games with analog controls I do recommend getting one.null1024 wrote:I am really tempted to pick one up, getting Ridge Racer R4 in the mail soon [no more emulation, and it was really cheap, supposedly complete, hopefully it has the Ridge Racer Turbo disc], and eventually some other games. Also, I wonder if my cheapy PS1->PC converter will recognize it, but that doesn't matter.
