You know it's nickname for many years has been 'The Graudian'? Famously bad subbing!
First review I ever had published in it seven or eight years back had digits and '?' in apparently random parts of the text!

Summer HoG Meet (?)
Who's up for a meet at the HoG in July? Saturday the 12th or 19th would be best for me.
Plenty of "Fist 'n' Punch" games for spadgy if he gets bored of "Beat 'em Ups"!
And they're opening a shop on-site soon, so it'll be interesting to see what's up for sale!

I'm up for a summer HoG meet too. Gotta fit it around stag-dos, weddings and a house move, but I'll try!

A what?!PAPER/ARTILLERY wrote:a reasonably priced PCB...
In fact, there's plenty out there.
And I'm sure you can borrow a board or two from me if you're so inclined. My PCB list is in my sig through the 'my collection' link.

Thanks man that's very good of you. I've been looking around for PCBs to pick up and one of the good things is that the reasonably priced ones are usually quite obscure (unpopular?) So it sort of forces me to play something I would otherwise overlook.

Try Arcade Otaku's forums, by the way. Loads of regulars from here, and loads of good UK deals across many genres.

Will do. Any of you guys bought anything from the UKVac forums? Seems like they've got a pretty good community there too.

Glad it arrived safely! And I hope you find somewhere to pick up a cool PCB soon, although I've only ever bought arcade stuff on this forum and eBay, so can't really give recommendations there.PAPER/ARTILLERY wrote:Supergun arrived today JDE thanks very much. Me as well. I can't make next weekend though as I am at Centre Parcs with my family. Following weekend would work though!

I'm silly busy too many weekends (moving house/stag dos/weddings/work) but I really am up for a HoG visit soon, so I'll keep an eye out here.
Actually; July 26th/27th I'm pretty free, I think.

I'll be working on my flat in Acton from the 24th, so I should be able to walk over to HoG for a few evenings.

Looks like we might have a better turnout if the Summer HoG Meet is pushed back to the 26th or 27th - is that weekend OK for everyone else? I can do either day.spadgy wrote:July 26th/27th I'm pretty free, I think.

Pity no one is able to get in contact with Dharnesh (forum name ARC or ARM) to loan their jamma titles.

Dammit, I used to be pretty good at DDR (15ish modern stars), but I don't have the stamina for it now
Re: London Casino Crew meets (RIP the Arcade)
Really? I popped in there last night and they didn't have anything. Btw, who do we contact out installing boards, the guy I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned shooters. It was busy though, pretty good scene going.spadgy wrote:

I'm not into music games, but if you're on vocals in Rock Band or something I'll be there, purely because of your legendary karaoke performance at Skykid's partyIllyrian wrote:For those interested in music games. I'll be going.

Seriously, Illyrian's got 99 problems but rapping ain't one. Word. Also, concrete details on the Summer HoG Meet coming later today.
