That's exactly what I was wondering.. :? Wouldn't a set like that usually go for around $80 ~ $90?

Probably not the best starter bike, but I'm not going to argue with a gift like this.

I bought all 3 games from a collector in Sweden and paid about $120 for Blast Wind which is in superb condition. I don't buy a lot of games so I'm not too bothered about that price.

Sweet beans, how big is the engine on it? I assume you just received your motorcycle license. Yet to get a bike that I can store in a safe other than a storage lot.

Yeah I just finished the safety course this weekend. I actually did it a few years ago but never got my endorsement. It's a 1085cc (90hp), but my main concern is the size of it. It's so freaking tall that even at 6'4" walking the bike can be a little tricky.

On my trip to Lebanon I found a small game shop that had tons of boxed pirate GB games and I couldn't resist picking the one with the coolest cover:

Image

I thought hey, it has Ninja Gaiden GB and I've been meaning to get that, so why not? Turns out the actual cart inside was totally different...

It's mostly filled with first-gen GB games so nothing interesting there, except Mario N64 / Super Mario 4 which is a pretty extensive spritehack of a game called Shin Chan 4.

As a sidenote, does anybody recognize where the picture for "New Ninja Gaider" is from?
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Was browsing the used toys section of a little store to find something for the kids and stumbled upon this. I have very little knowledge about Transformers but very fond memories of playing with this guy. Bottom of the toy says Takara 1980, 1982.

It's missing the missiles alright, but at 5$ I can't complain much, can I?

Why, that's an original G1 Optimus Prime you've got there, KindGrind. Nice find there. It sells for big bucks on the secondary collector's market indeed, especially if it's NIB condition.

---------------------------
Transformers Factoid:

Hasbro didn't start selling the Transformers toys in North America until 1984 (hence the Takara date-stamp with the 1980/1982 years when it was sold to the Japanese public under it's original "Diaclone" brand of transformable toys). The Diaclone toy set of Convoy (aka Optimus Prime) was a cool set to get in Japan back in the early 1980s. Eventually, all the Diaclone toys were re-released in Japan under the repackaged "Transformers" brand name. All the TF toys were sold out at stores everywhere during the 1984 Christmas shopping season due to it's overwhelming popularity at that particular moment in time.

Say, could it be from rancor? All them speciality flavored Kit-Kats that NestleUSA doesn't even sell through normal retailer distribution channels anyways (aside from the usual regular milk chocolate, dark chocolate & white chocolate variant Kit-Kats sold across the USA). The American retailer, FYE, does sell them Japanese Kit-Kats at the front counter or they can special order them for you. The only catch is that you buy them by the case. Priced at $10.00 USD per case, that's a small price to pay if you can't get them any other way (aside from importing 'em).

^Apologies. This is TW-01 "Hegemon" - an overpriced, third party, fake Megatron that is much, much better than the real thing. Much more manageable size than the Masterpiece Megatron. No die-cast though.

You'd have to be pretty shallow to let the quality of a port influence your opinion of a game anyway.

Spent $99 on a like-new DSi XL. Spent an extra 3 bucks on Meteos which I hear you guys raving about.

Disgaea looks WAY better on the XL, and Fritz (best chess program on any game console right now) is actually very comfortable on the eyes. Yeah! Might need to go back and play some Etrian Odyssey at some point.

i honestly don't think it's that bad. it's not like the pixellated explosions make the game any less enjoyable.

but it seems i'll have to go with the ps port of donpachi. now the saturn port for that one seems pretty bad.

then consider me shallow?

i mean, the port isnt THAT bad, but its not like it was being ported to C64.

this is the saturn, the fucking king of 2D sprite graphics, how could we have gotten anything less than arcade perfect? look how nicely batsugun turned out.
