Don't see credits when Simple is cleared so do they roll after Normal is cleared (like I'm ever gonna see that lol).
Credits roll after Simple mode is finished. You must have bought the staff roll skip from the shop by accident?

There is one thing that worries me: in the event of a patch, the scoring might be affected... or not. Don't wanna see my hard earned score wiped out because ver. 1.10 added 900.000 more enemies and several extra numbers... :P

edit: double break has to be one of the most satisfying features I've tried. Especially because the rank increase and bullshit come and go with it, keeping the game hard but not bullshit hard like in DOJ where after several hypers you just wanna commit suicide due to how hilariously HARD it gets. Without mentioning a bomb or being in the wrong position breaks your chain and you can kiss goodbye your score... I still like DOJ, heh.

hmm... I'm usually pretty down on dojin games, and not without good reason. But it seems like this is one of those exceptions to the rule, like Melty Blood. I'm really tempted to give it a shot, especially since $30 won't exactly break the bank.

Huh... I can't buy the Stage 5 BGM in the shop. And I've accessed Stage 5 on one credit - it's on the scoreboard. Is anyone else having trouble with this? Or do I just have to run up more minutes on the clock?

For me sometimes when I exit the game with Esc key I lose everything except the scoreboard results. It's safe to exit the game by pressing exit instead of doing it yourself manually.

Might be the same for you.

I always exit with the button on the main menu. I use a gamepad and I'm already leaning back relaxed at that point. Fuck using the keyboard.

Clearing this game with the keyboard is an amazing feat I would actually like to see. Especially if said keyboard does SURVIVE the onslaught of key pressing and heat...

I'm getting the hang of the Double Break and learning I WILL get sniped if I don't pay attention and pretend I'm invincible and "firin' mah laz0r".

I think I found a bug or I just hit the final boss too hard because when it's releasing the huge red laser I triggered its next phase but the laser kept on firing for a while... coupled with the new danmaku. And it did kill me in the process. Lesson learned: don't stand like an idiot in front of a cannon, firin' its laz0r!

Happened to me once with the Stage 3 laser wheels.

And I do always exit with the escape key - strange, because I can buy the Stage 4 and boss themes, but not Stage 5. Maybe it's because I played them in practice?

I hope this doesn't disqualify me from buying Type-Z - does escape-quitting really wipe all progress?

The nonstop laser thing happens to me all the time anytime a boss or ememy fires a laser. I have to kill it after the laser attack disappears. It ruins a good run.

I replayed simple mode and those bullet are insanely fast! That TLB is going to be hell at max rank.

Anything that is shop related you need to do it in the actual game mode. I don't think pressing the esc key wipes out all your progress, your progress is saved in a dat file. But it hasn't happened to me so I can't say much about it.

Well I'm playing with a keyboard and it's survived numerous onslaughts for 2 years and counting now. 8)

I think it was mentioned before but can't find the info... has any of you found a way to make a HRAP EX-SE work with this game?

Xpadder is what I use for it. You'll need to download the xbox360 controller drivers too if your computer doesn't pick it up.

Sweet! Thanks Tyjet. Don't know when the game will arrive but once I have it, I'll give Xpadder a good try. I'm assume there' 0 lag, right?

With v-sync off, there is none. And if there was any, you'd have to be pretty robotic.

Anyway, I've run in to some bugs, nothing major. Buut, I think it was the last boss before the TLB's.
But when he does shoots all those red/yellow bullets that close in on you, making you hug as close to the boss as you can.
When I killed him in that phase while he was doing it a whole line of yellow bullets stayed on the screen and didn't move the entire rest of the boss.... I didn't want to risk going through them as it was a pretty solid wall.

Annnd, the worst one yet was on Simple mode. I had a bad rank and all but when I got the 3rd stage onwards all the bullets were shooting in turbo mode, it was like Touhou Maniac speed. Managed to get to the EX2 boss somehow.... Painful though.

I was referring to the joystick's lag when used with Xpadder.

Yes, there should be 0. The only lagging you'll encounter is with the game, which then you can turn off Vsync

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but a little caution if you decide to charge two gauges (as opposed to charge 1 gauge, Break Mode, charge the next gauge) to go into Double Break: After you go into Break Mode, WAIT UNTIL THE GAUGE SAYS "DOUBLE BREAK STANDBY." If you hit the Break/bomb button before that, you'll just end up wasting half a gauge on a bomb.

God-a-fucking damnit, I hate the laser glitch. Thankfully, despite activating it on Stage 3, managed to make it to the final boss. Bombed once about a half-second before Double Break was ready, and probably lost a few hundred oku along the way.

So what determines when the ship powers up and gets extra options?
I'm looking forward to a Crimzon Clover ST in the strategy section but I guess there'll have to be a lot more play time before anyone can comprehend the whole thing.

Less a glitch and more a feature, I've had the st3 boss time out the second form somehow, and keep its spinning lasers attack into form 3.
That was not pleasant in the slightest.

-After 5000 stars you'll gain 2 additional options
-During double break you temporarily gain 2 additional options
