Currently importing CDs en masse so I can throw them into storage

Was surprised that The Dark Side of the Moon comes back with a couple of matches from the database....

Anyhow - on a big McLusky / Future of the Left kick at the moment. I've started playing guitar again and I think I want to learn You Are My Sun. Doubt it'll come in handy for serenading :D

asobius - Rainbow. Even though its more of a mini-album, than a full album, if this is the quality of their rock music(infused with synth work that fits) I'm following this band until they quit making music. A fantastic debut. Also, have a link for their first single.

I like disco, but Sally Shapiro has never won me over.
Sweet Oblivion by Screaming Trees and Love Is A Ghost by Theatre of Hate. Doesn't the latter make one think about VDGG? Can't find the seemingly guitarless Original Sin version on YouTube, but something about playing rock music without guitar appears gutsy even today. Even Siekiera left three strings!

I just picked up the awesome new self titled LP from Dead Players. They're a new duo formed of the insanely talented UK rappers Jam Baxter and Dabbla.

Here's my favourite track of the LP; an amazingly good bit of Balkan hip hop/Gypsy grime. Yeah!

Just checked the length on itunes, and the comp is 10 hours long. Jesus christ! Possibly the longest comp ever.

Two similar comps have been released to benefit Ed of the Doommantia webzine. I don't know how long the second volume is time-wise, but it's 85 tracks.

Oh yeah I checked this out recently. It feels like Burial remixing The Haxan Cloak or something, I love the last track.

Worth a listen? The latest one I heard from them was J-Pop, and that one wasn't half bad. Though I've always wanted to hear their one colab record with Schadaraparr. Twilight is a good tune!

Well I'm a bit of a fan, so I loved pretty much everything they did, but this one was really solid I think.
It sounds like a mix of their most recent works and the more weird/experimental style they used to have.
Also pretty easy to listen to in comparison to some of their other albums, and a lot better than J-Pop so if you want to give it a try I'd say go for it.

Getting back into my first music love, rock music, I found this nice band from Japan who happens to list one of their influences being a band from my area I've sorta liked over the years, The Get Up Kids. So checking out their first single and I was hooked. That drummer can really go.
静カニ潜ム日々 being the band, and a link to their first single. The Present is just a very solid album.

Jesus, I haven't listened to The Get Up Kids in years. They had one superb LP, 'Something To Write Home About', may have to dig it out for a little nostalgia blast.

The band I posted lists quite a lot of bands as their influences, but The Get Up Kids was one of the first ones listed. So if you like them, I'm sure you'd like the band I linked. Took me years though before I realized how good The Get Up Kids were.

Powerwolf- "Preachers of the Night" (album)
Powerwolf- "Blood of the Saints" (album)

Just found out about these guys less than a week ago. I already have their "Preachers of the Night" and "Blood of the Saints" albums, with "Lupus Dei" on the way. Power metal, hokey lyrical concepts (werewolves, demons, etc.), cheesy from start to finish... and I love it. The album art for their last two albums is also particularly cool.

Haha, I used to listen to these guys, great music and the singer's voice goes so well with power metal. Also the lyrics are pretty cool.
