Almost laughable upgrade, but hey... I'm outta home now, and this could be my last score:

It seems the more I know what I'm doing, the more my score suffers.

Stupid auto-scroll gravity crap. Stupid bullets obscured by clouds and portraits of blabbering old fools.

I go through a phase like that in every shooter I play =/ Though, usually it's more my survival suffers, and my score only suffers because I'm not getting as far =)

Fuck level 4. I've perfected (For my skills at least, hehe) level 1, 2 and 3. Well, sometimes I still lose a life or 2 at level 3 (That section right before the boss and then the boss itself gets me sometimes)...

but level 4 is DEVILISH. For most of the time I have no idea of what's happening, I just move to a corner and try to dodge the bullets as much as I can. There have been moments of me losing 4 lives in less than 20 seconds in that level.

And the mid-boss, GODDAMN FUCK IT ! I still haven't beat it without losing lives. Yes, "lives".

At least the boss of that level is pretty easy, it's easier even than the level 3 boss.

(Once again), if you're playing on MAME, please think of recording ;)
Thanks, Keade! Well, I have a 3.5M replay I recorded a few days ago, but I'll try to do another where the score is closer to my record.

We've been over that in the other thread =) Not random in the slightest. A nice freestyle scoring system though to an extent, unlike the rote memorization of many popular shooters. A breath of fresh air for sure, but I WILL be happy to get back to bullet dodging instead of colorful doodad dodging ^_^

Well, it's not a score I'd say I'm particularly proud of, but I think this is going to be the final one for me. Not much of an improvement over my previous score, but an improvement none the less.

Ridiculously, I made it through the cats unharmed. Then the candies right before the midboss got me and stole my weapons. Then the midboss finished me off. I hate hate hate stage 4. (And stage 3, to a lesser extent.)

I accidentally killed something each time I died. Hard to see (I had to scan the PSP) but the score is circled in red. My final, dying body is in the lower-right corner of the screen, but I forgot to circle that.

And with that, I'm done with this game. The steam-driven knight boss ended up being my wall.
