the pedals are meh, except for the DD-7. I bought a Super (Distortion) Feedbacker, but it sounds like shit and I want a clean feedback sound.

I shouldn't have sold my Shoegazer. That was some awesome fuzz, although a bit too much gain. It reminded me of Kevin Shield tone.

I need more amplification too >_>

The Phase 90 you got is ok, but if you want a really nice phaser, just grab the EHX Small Stone. Think everything Jean Michel Jarre did. It has an adjustable 'color' control, so you can have very dramatic harmonic sweeps or less intense, with variable speed control. And for under $75 new, can't go wrong. I use it almost exclusively with my Elka Rhapsody, instant 70's shimmering strings!

If I do I set the speed really high and let it reverberate till it feedbacks.

I have been writing shitty snoregaze songs that have bad Alison's Halo riffs.

I really need to teach myself to program drums. I have FL studios, but it seems to have a learning curve I cannot grasp yet.

You should have said. I would have let you spend ten minutes in the bathroom with this last time you came over (at a price, of course.)

Wow that's weird, I just saw that artwork on a joystick recently. Makes slightly more sense now.

Impossibru! According to Wikipedia, it was never released commercially, so you likely have a bootleg of the beta rom.

Nice. I've been dying to see TAC's 1 billion Maniac run, but superplay DVDs are too expensive for me. Tell me it's as mind-blowing as I think it is!

Its a custom job of the beta rom. Can be glitchy is certain areas, but playable.

Shame about Hulk Hogan's mug, but still. Couldn't care less about the licence (well, actually a FIFA or UEFA licence would be even less appealing to me), but the cover art is badass (can be said about most GB games I own, actually; only Super Mario Land 2 and Dynablaster look ho-hum).

Image

A bit late to the party, but when I got my large hands on it, what struck me was that Nintendo FINALLY emulated PlayStation controllers. Way to go, gentlemen, now your console is all geared up for the competition with PS2... from a decade ago (DMC, Shinobi and Contra: Shattered Soldier are where it was at). Well, not quite (thumbsticks don't work as buttons, do they?), but hey - a D-pad where my thumb is as I hold the controller and four shoulder buttons, no less, make me wanna play Super Metroid with a Nintendo controller at last. Took 'em a while to get there. Come to think of it, they could make a new CCPro-exclusive 2D Metroid game and sell it bundled with the thingy.
What Wii games are particulary worth playing with it? (Cave Story I believe, provided I can map the controls as I please). I already own Xenosaga Chronicles and The Last Story, also, I do fancy getting Monster Hunter Tri one of these days. Geometry Wars: Galaxies is cheap, thus I can't go very wrong with it. Anything else I should know about?

it's for my son's birthday, his fave is the Hyaku Shiki but this is all I could get at the time, tbh I'm probably more excited myself hahaha

it's a lot smaller than I thought it would be - looks to be about the same size as standard Star Wars figures - still lovin it though...

Grab Monster Hunter, you won't be disappointed.

I'm gonna go alphabetically since I'm referencing the Wikipedia article :D
A Boy and His Blob was good platform/puzzling fun, Arc Rise Fantasia I enjoyed, Castle of Shikigami III is decent, Conduit 2 is a very nice FPS, Geometry Wars of course, and Goldeneye 007 ...

Opoona I haven't tried yet, but it doesn't look very promising. Sengoku Barasa was good, Sin and Punishment (obvs), haven't tried Tales of Graces or Valhalla Knights yet ... I think that covers all the Wii releases of note.

Then of course there is all the WiiWare and VC stuff, which will be hit and miss. A lot of them because of their arcade-y nature will be better with a joystick.

Grab Muramasa, as well as a Mayflash Wii→PC adapter and emulate it. It's 2D, so it doesn't require a PC of recent years.

Crumbs I have that game and haven't played it yet. Looks very cool, I'm gonna check it out tonight.

I want Muramasa (shame about the localisation), but if it's going to look at least as good as Odin Sphere on my RGB-endowed CRT, I see no need for emulation here. I do, however, intend to get a USB adapter et some point.

Large scan ahead, but the artwork is worth it.

Got it cheaper than every copy I see on eBay at the moment. Loose cart, but in an excellent condition. The game itself would be probably labelled "artsy" these days. Pretty oddball stuff, even for the GB.

I own two 'Cube joypads (should take care of S&P) and two DualShock-to-GC/Wii adapters (should take care of the D-pad thing), also, I'm not the type to play first person shooters with a joypad, unless there's no other option whatsoever. Been wondering mostly about the likes of Xenosaga, The Last Story and Monster Hunter Tri, where Classic Controller was quite obviously the designers' controller of choice (these don't even support 'em 'Cube joypads).

I fired it up in Dolphin really briefly last night, I didn't have my CCP and adapter handy to play it, but holy fuck does it look good.

I never got to play Odin Sphere either ... I should hunt down a copy.

Data East ftw. Creepy colour palette, though.
Honestly, I like Solar Striker better than any GBA vertical shmup known to me. It's rather basic, but they don't do such enemy behaviour patterns anymore these days, when it's all about bullet patterns. I miss the former and Solar Striker kinda delivers.
What I really want is a Zanac remake for the GBA.

They rock. In an interview I translated some of the old employees swore there wasn't some type of company-wide color-scheme. Just happened w/ the hardware.

Some new hop-ups for my E-Revo VXL: Aluminum pushrods and adjustable steering links, as well as much larger front and rear bumpers (the stock ones are pretty wimpy.) I also put on new RPM suspension arms on both front and rear, but those aren't shown here. This thing has held up pretty well for me, but hopefully this should beef up some of the more breakable parts.

Image

Here's what all the stuff looks like installed. Next on the agenda is stiffening up the shocks (they really aren't doing much here) and trying to get my Nitro Revo 3.3 up and running.
