Died at the stage 6 boss with 5 bombs in stock :? Could've managed 2-2 or 2-3 in this run.

Boss was about to go down. With a bit more effort I should get the loop. 1-8 is very simple and Chaos Queen is probably the easiest boss in the first loop. I just have to panic bomb less at the stage 6 boss and iron out my strategy for the seventh boss a bit.

Dunno why people complain about this game.

Oh geez. 1-6 was a bombspam fest. Really need to study some vids to see how the 1-5/1-6 bosses are done. Died at the start of 1-7 to the green laser spammer. :\

Another ridiculously minor improvement. I'll try to improve this on Sunday but a combination of forced random stage order and nerves is getting to me. Seriously, no-missing to 1-7 and being walled by the popcorn is just shameful. I know how to no-miss the 1-6 boss reliably but Shadow Blinder always eats all my resources. I've made it to 1-8 with spare lives ONCE, and got totally crushed when I forgot the safespot for the first Chaos Queen form.

I swear, STGT makes even the most fun games tiresome. I hate to see what it will do to Ketsui.

While I haven't been able to pull a 1-ALL out of my ass I've done some pretty unexpected stuff. Like full-chaining Russia, and fitting between the rows of bullets the helicopters in Japan fire (DO NOT complain about this game's hitbox size, OK?)

Finally. My first 1LC of a Psikyo game. What a bitch to do. Never touching this one again, at least not for a couple years. "STGT makes even the most fun games tiresome" is right.

Setting practice savestates for all the trouble spots in a row on my keyboard (as described in Full Extent of the Jam) helped massively. No way I could have done this in five days otherwise. Second loop wasted me almost right away.

I've noticed that the rank gets particularly brutal after one-lifing five stages, forcing me to bomb often. Would that be a good time to start intentionally powering down to drop it?

If you hard reset after every credit, you will always start with the same stage order. This made things much more predictable and consistent.
