That blog post is really interesting, seems like it's possible to milk those circling planes more than normal without making the game crash/freeze later, a proper translation would be great though.

The link explains it all. If you milk the circling planes for too long, Black Heart won't appear and you can milk the mini Black Heart's forever. However, this way you won't be able to beat the game and as we all know Arcadia ranks clear higher than score.

The real problem is, that if you somehow destroy the circling planes at the right time, Black Heart itself will indeed appear, but won't time out! If you don't shoot for the core, you can milk his wings forever. You can still destroy him by shooting the core though and thus get absurdly high scores.

Sadly the decision makes sense since even if there is evidence of fair play (a photo of your score after st5 is finished would do), it would be a lot of trouble for a magazine to include it.

If this is the problem for Garegga.... maybe also Battle Bakraid will be banned for the same reason (?).

I really hope a large glitch like this is not how you get the 132mil WR

There are videos floating around showing similar infinite patterns for both Bakraid and Batrider. They just haven't gotten exploited as much as in Garegga because of the smaller fanbase. Who knows what is possible in these games.

The current WRs of Bakraid and Batrider were not done with any infinite patterns.

wouldn't black heart still be firing bullets at you the entire time? i understand it could lead to a counterstop, but it sounds incredibly difficult

If your rank is low enough, you'd likely be able to get extends faster than you'd lose them. It becomes an endurance run at that point.

There were rumours about an infinite pattern since last summer at least.

That's the question. Rank is indeed an issue and even if you can survive Black Heart, stage 6 is going to rip you apart on max rank. The game might actually be impossible to clear. But since it theoretically works, it's banned from Arcadia.
