Re: STGT'11 Week 2: Daioh
I played and posted real early this week at least. :D
I need to make this STGT (outside of the fun with my own team, of course) interesting to me somehow.

Well excuse me for learning the game bit by bit for the past week >>>:(sikraiken wrote:I see that Touhou is Harder is being lame and not showing almost any of their scores until the very end. Nice job guys. We can do that too I guess.
Besides, I only just got my ALL score last night and was phasing in and out from four hours sleep. My team (and certain other people) should know how much I value sleep.

Congrats on the 2-alls guys. I wonder if we'll be seeing any of those replays as vids.
Re: STGT'11 Week 2: Daioh
Bah, I did say no team name, almost missed 3 scores because of that.
Also, luy's score is not on the board because sikraiken noticed that the screencap shows 3 Ps after a clear, which should not happen, the only explanation we can think of is that the maximum firepower cheat must have been on. I'm still waiting on an explanation, but it's not ending on the scoreboard. Not for now, at least.

Not a bad game overall IMO, but almost every single death you die is a particularly frustrating one.

Can I blame this weeks' score on rioting and looting in my part of London? Yes, that's what I'm doing. Looters stole my high score so this lesser one will have to do.

Re: STGT'11 Week 2: Daioh
You just have to know how to recover if you die. I died once on stage 13 earlier today and thankfully didn't die after that with a successful recovery.BulletMagnet wrote:BulletMagnet - 1,065,530 - 4 - MAME

Interesting observation on luy's score, I'm gonna see what happens when you clear the game with max firepower on and see if it does that same thing.
Finally, I think I've more or less hit my final score. I got a 2up on stage 8 but died twice on the stage 14 boss last night, didn't have autofire to easily kill it or else I would've hit 20 Mil.

Oh dear, luy. What the hell. First super-slow MAME and now this? :/
Re: STGT'11 Week 2: Daioh
Oh well, might as well slightly improve my shitty score. TBH, though, bells did ring when I finally cleared stage 4.

Yea theres no way now that I can get a score above 18.5-19 Mil now since I barely ever find random extends. Someday though I will surpass you in at least Daioh :/sikraiken wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvLrVSyFSccResumeDPosition wrote: Interesting observation on luy's score, I'm gonna see what happens when you clear the game with max firepower on and see if it does that same thing.

Placeholder score unless I manage something better before time is up. Hilarious run, deaths here and there that got me very worried. But barely pulled through for a Lx0 2-ALL.
