Great game, just real life took over this week... so not the greatest of scores.

Sorry team, hopefully you have some better scores to post.

Not really satisfied with this score since I feel I could have done better (and cleared), but didn't really get a chance to play much over the last three days, so it'll do. I'll probably come back to this some other time. At the least, it went alright considering I'm generally pretty bad at this kind of old-school hori. :P This one was a lot of fun.

Still ignoring purple bells exist. Could have gotten a lot more with a perfect run using the same strategy, but apparently I lack the skill to pull that off in such a short schedule.

Finally broke 400k. I thought this run would never come.

May play again later, but I'm almost certain this is my last submission for the week.

Not feeling very well today, so I haven't put in as much time as I would have liked. Also, being ill reduces my motivation, patience and reactions. :/

I reckon I could be on 1.8mil or higher, if I had a little time to get used to Semi-Auto, and stopped crashing into Decoration Core's lasers every other run. A little project for later, perhaps. At least I hit my target of 1.5mil.

Only had about 2 hours to play this so far, will try more before the week ends.

Which it does in 3 and a half hours, by the way.

Just a quick bump to everyone that game 1's deadline should come in 90 minutes, so play your last games and finish strong if you haven't given up yet.

More than happy with this. I entered the Special Stage with a full life stock and got about 300k from checkpoint milking. Could've pushed my score a bit higher if not for totally avoidable bell drops in the candy, mini Gradius core, and disco stages.

I wish I had had more time to play this week, because I definitely love this game. I'll try to go back and keep working on it after the tournament's over.

I pretty much just hit every perfect thing I could humanely do in the first 4 stages:

Stage 1:
Standard stuff with 3 purple bells before the boss, better than usual panda milking

Stage 2:
Didn't drop my bell chain amazingly enough. Instead of killing the 3 "ship cat" things before the screen shifts downward for the first time, I let them fly by so I could get the bells instead. Got the two bells that usually appear underwater before the catship comes to wreck your chain as well as your shit. Rest went smoothly.

Moai Battleship:
Had my options setup perfectly in the beginning to take out the small turrets yet keep the moai heads alive for points. Moai that drops purple balls I managed to get 2 yellow bells out of it with a successful purple bell.

Stage 3:
Suicide strategy= Get all the yellow bells from the two eagles then suicide before checkpoint at the entrance of the cake palace. Restart at beginning then-->speedup carried over from last life-->speedup-->double-->get yellow bells again-->suicide-->repeat until on last life. This ended up getting about 90,000 points per life for me, seeing how in all my previous runs I would die and then waste all my lives for no point gain, I did this to get an extra 350,000 or so points and then comeback in stage 3 with lower rank, still tricky without a wide shot though. Green bell'd that lippy bitch.

Stage 4:
Got a purple bell on the 1st of the two weird fish that shoot tons of homing pod things at you. Got my red bell before the speedup section, got my 2nd bell at the first rear wall birds but I hesitated since I had to let the bell cycle colors to red. By the time I used it to take the 1st wall, I had gotten far enough in the level to make the 2nd wall not come(I think this was the case at least, I don't know if the 2nd wall comes on screen regardless if the 1st is still there or not. With lowered rank it is actually pretty easy to milk the stage 4 boss with Vic Viper.

Stage 5:
With the help of a purple bell at the start, a blue bell at the first flying panel bit, and then a red bell after that, I was able to score some serious points and then proceed to die in a stupid way. Calling this my final submission. If it weren't for my teammate chempop and his suicide idea then I wouldn't have gotten this monstrosity of a score.

Score from yesterday, I was shooting for a bit higher after the Team Touhou onslaught, but it's not happening :| And wow, I can't believe I'd never thought about suicide-milking the bells earlier on, my spare lives have been so worthless! I don't feel like trying it in the next hour though :P
