While I have to agree it doesn't look very good, I am insanely impressed at the music. I just saw a video on nicovideo of the final stage and ALL of the music there was great! I wonder if Namiki is doing this one solo or if he has help. The final boss theme has a major "heroic" opera sound that I haven't heard him do before. Oh well, I ripped the video if anyone is interested. I'll upload it to whatever your favorite file share service is. (New here, don't really know what everyone prefers. Just let me know!) Oh, and Satan Claws looks retarded.

It is none other than ODEO who did some of the BGM tunes in Psyvariar Medium Unit and Psyvariar Revision, did the music for TLB featured in Psyvariar 2: The Will To Fabricate. ODEO is Success Corporation's in-house musician. ^_~

Will Success and Skonec collaborate again together and make Psyvariar 3? ^_~

You know, I thought Jun did a pretty good job on DS, even though i'm very against any lolis in my shmups. The rest of the game had a really cool look to it.

This is just...wow...a boy? Wow. I'm always wondering who this is marketed to. It makes me wonder about the target audience for shmups in Japan. I mean, Cave and G Rev have some pretty sad looking designs lately(in terms of loli fetishes), not to mention the Doujin game makers. And even Konami's last game is cheesecakey to say the least. Is this what Japanese shmup fans want? Little girls? I don't get it.

You know, it's a real shame they fucked this up. Most Cave stg are pretty similar, with a twist here and there. They've been doing that for a long time, and it was pretty refreshing to get something really different with that. Hell, they could have had a couple other side scrollers, with different themes or whatever, and that would have been cool, since it's pretty new for them. And right after the first one..splat..they fuck it up.
