With Trump, there is some hope of reforming the democratic party in the next four years. Democrats in congress can block everything he tries to do, and if they don't, what exactly are you fighting for? With Clinton, she'll pass centrist things like cutting social security and getting that oil pipeline in Syria built at the expense of exasperating relations with Russia. Since the survival of their power absolutely depends on it, I'd also expect some fuckery with the internet and primaries to ensure that her successor is still firmly an employee of a bank. Assuming these people aren't completely stupid and actually have power, that's kind of something they have to work on from day one, right?
