Heh, accidentally just listened to it the other day and it has aged rather well. Nobody fucks with the eighties, do they. I just dug up the very first CD print of the Klaus Mitffoch album - every bit as good as in my memories. Haunting, haunting basslines and all that.

Between the Buried and Me - The Great Misdirect

At first I didn't like it as much as Colors, but it has been growing on me at a rapid pace.

You rule! I love Riz Ortolani and that movie! Zombi makes good tunes as well :)
if you dig ortolani's style you should definitely check out some of pino donaggio's stuff.....ive been listening to his piranha score lately....quite good and about to become some major sample fodder 8)

I certainly will when I get good internet again!

Anyone like Manowar? They are one of my favorite bands. I'm currently listening to, er...the whole discography.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Yanqui U.X.O or whatever. Not my favorite CD of theirs, but giving it another listen and it's great drinking music.

Bustin' out some Burzum as of now. Don't want to try and correctly type the album. Hyrigih or something. One of his ambient albums when he was in prison for being a goon.

hehe, I've listened to my fair share of Manowar. Glove of Metal!

When it comes to metal now, I think I've been listening to a lot of Anathema and Asunder lately.

Finally got into The Dicks.

I've been digging around the less obvious SST Records bands this week.

Hlidskjalf? I like his ambient works quite a lot. My fav release would have to be Hvis Lyset whatever though.

Yeah, that's the one. His ambient stuff is great, I kind of wish he would have made some more. I have to agree with you on Hvis Lyset whatever as well; it's a damn fine album. I'd look it up but my internet is slow and my ipod is in my car...

My wonderful woman got me the new 'of Montreal' record, great art book and heavy vinyl. Sounds damn fine too, a lot more coherent than the last album (not in a negative way) but also pretty layered and dense. Looking forward to spending some time with it.

Also been listening to Joanna Newsom in prep for the show on Saturday. Can't fucking wait.

Been listening to a lot of Erg Noor today. Kinda post-rockish with hints of metal every once in awhile. Also some Serge Gainsbourg, The Smiths, and Forest.

Drunk and in a dark room by myself. Thought it would be intense. It is.

Paramore - Brand New Eyes
Came across Paramore after hearing 'Ignorance' being played on HMV's in-store radio station one day (thank you Shazam), picked up the album, and fell in love with it. 'Decode' is probably my favorite track off the album, though Paramore's sound is quite different to what I generally listen to, and all their tracks are great.

Asobi Seksu - Rewolf
A sort of remix/acoustic album, but still Asobi's distinctive sound. Love it.

It doesn't really bother me if they are considered "pop", being someone that doesn't like music that is too heavy (except for hard house), I quite like their sound, it's catchy and memorable. Just picked up Riot! and All We Know Is Falling as well, some good tracks on all their albums (especially Fences and Misery Business).
