This thread is dying, much like Casino! I'll be down at some point tonight.

I think it'll survive for a few more months at least...

Anyway, was about to head down then I realised I'm really really really really poor. Maybe next week!

Things are on a knife edge at the moment - hopefully you will still get the full on fossil-like experience that is Casino.

JDE and I were in there tonight and nothing had changed. The extra pool table is still lurking in the stairway...

Sorry chaps - I didn't make Casino last week due to mag deadlines. However, now I've only got two deadlines between today and early January, so I've a bit more time on my hands, and should be down Casino much more.

Starting this week! Anybody down Thursday?

Oh - and I'm going to that Hideo Kojima lecture at BAFTA on Piccadilly on Friday. Anybody else going to that?

And enough of this 'dead thread' stuff! I know I've been a ghost of late, but we can't let it die! Get posting punks, even if its just about hzt's fixies or hats or something.

Oh, and...

It is struggling to pay the bills at the moment, so we all need to get down there spending some credits! Or win the lottery and buy the place out.

On that note, a version of that Eat, Relax, Play console gaming cafe is set to open in London, and me and a lovely games developer also named Will are going to buy a cab or two between us and install it there as an experiment to see if there is a business model in placing cabs in public in the UK. That will be a cab I'll actually have the keys to (although we have to think about games/multicarts that the average Joe console gamer will want to play, but I'm sure once a week we can pop a game of ours in for a session (if Casino dies).

And on a Casino tip, the place opened (a few doors up the road) in 1964. 1964! We have to help it make it's 50th!

And if Chi doesn't take it, I will! I've wanted an SE 360 stick for ages!

This cafe sounds interesting, doubly so if it has a cab... Where's it going to be?

Not sure yet - the guy's still negotiating with a few places, but it looks very likely to become a reality. In fact, he's funding some of it on Kickstarter. The guy has made a success of the West Country RelaxDrinkPlay/Loading Cafe, so I've confidense it may happen.

Oh - and I do have a little spare cash right now, so could afford a bnew board. I've never played Bakraid or Batrider. Would people be interested in one of those going in?

My personal preference would definately be for Batrider, I think it's just the better game of the two.

I guess it depends on how willing people are to have an exciting Yagawa adventure.

Seriously though, Batrider is amazing.

I should be down on Thursday.

Spadgy, don't listen to them - steer well clear of Yagawa if you want anyone to play the cab. Get a multi-board, with some classics on there.

ID SEZ: BATRIDER

SUPEREGO SEZ: Probably not anything by Yagawa if you want the place to thrive :( But I would be glued to the place forever if either Bakraid or BATRIDER were installed...

Wow, looked the place up, actually stumbled across it on the Internet some time ago but it seemed just a little too far to go to check out... Really excited now :D

Just to clarify - my purchase of Bakraid or Batrider would be for Casino.

This project I'm looking into with regard to the Drink Relax Play/Loading Cafe would certainly centre around a more layman-friendly game.

And I'll be in Thursday!

I can't make Saturday unfortunately Shimatora, but enjoy your visit!

Batrider is a much better choice than Bakraid.

If only! I get payed on Friday, so Saturday is the closest possible date for me. (need to meet up with someone before they go back home.)

I might be able to get down another Thursday though, if the trip goes well! It's currently shaping about to be around 2 hours from where I live. Not bad, but with my motion sickness, not sure how often I'd like to brave this.

Might make it down tomorrow, only if it doesn't rain tho

I would definitely be up for Batrider, I'm a bigger fan of Bakraid but I'll stop being a dick for once and agree Batrider would be the better choice for Casino.

Nice one, glad to hear it!

Also I'll be down this evening, from 6:30 onwards. Dan76 ought to be down at about that time too, so if you arrive around then there'll be at least two people to talk with msm!
Shimatora, hope you can make it on another Thursday - it's definitely the main meet day at the moment.

Well goddamnit now I've got to come down today as well.

MSM, look for a devilishly handsome gentlemen with an epic pussy grinding beard repeatedly 2-alling progear in a business suit.

Edit: I get there at about 16:30.

Going to Casino tomorrow in the early afternoon with Shimatora and Sapz and possibly Andrew as well, in case anyone is around and bored and not at Eurogamer.

I'll try to come down on Thursday as well, probably Spadgy time or a bit later.

If casino has been dead over the past week or two is probably because everyone was swarming around the recent 2012 EUROGAMER show at London Earls Court. Speaking of trade show is there a Preview 2013 show at Novotel Hammersmith?
