You also could ask the user Bencao74 (also on this forum). he makes lovely custom sticks, maybe he could make a case for you.

Ah, btw, he lives in Germany.

The easiest, most straightforward custom stick mod I've undertaken in a long time, and for some reason one of the most satisfying - I think it's just the simplicity of the Astro green against the black?

Anyways, Megadrive 3x button Powerstick hack:

Image

Quick wire swap on the new stick, 2x holes & carriage bolts (through a plate that protected the original stick pcb [NOT microswitched by the way] - keeps the original aesthetic, & outside of case clean of bolt heads etc.), and some custom 'hats' for the original buttons (which I kind of don't really mind actually), & job done! 20-30mins max job. Sorted!

Just need to cut hole in original metal base (these Powersticks are surprisingly solid/sturdy!) - allowing stick base to poke through - & attach new feet giving the necessary clearance (1/2" - 3/4" visible in above pics).

The stick throw is damn short n' sweet, and that's a fresh Omron pcb in there, for extra loud click-goodness! ;-) (Bit of a hack job from an old DC Agetec stick - that's where the new 'skins' for the Powerstick buttons came from.)

Gives me an extra db9 stick for my MK1 Vogatech supergun (test pics above with Ibara pcb) - the thing is, the Ibara Black Label stick (in top pic, to give an idea of scale regarding the Powerstick) is waiting on a hacked MD 3x button pad pcb, yet I think I prefer this MD hack haha!

Ciao hombres!

EDIT: Trim/Dremmel 'feet' & it's a wrap! 100Y sticker & it's time for some Yagawa hard-as-balls shooter action. Sayonara!

Image

EDIT: Feet sorted...play time. By christ, I'm lovin' this stick. Ciao! ;-)

Nice. I'll throw my own ghetto stick into the mix.

LS-40. Spare buttons pulled from a Madcatz SE. Hacked Saturn pcb.

It may not look like much, but LS-40's are sick and I was able to get up to the final boss of Donpachi with a tupperware. So I don't want to hear it.

After weeks of lurking through this forum, buying parts, putting things together, and going camera shoot on it - here's my setup with custom stick included.

The setup consists of:
  • an old computer for MAME

    an Xbox 360

    2.1 speakers w/ bass

an Asus VH236H on a rotatable monitor stand for TATE goodness when needed

a Hori RAP VLX with Ultimarc Ultralux RGB LED Buttons and a Seimitsu LS-56-01
Oh and hi! I'm new here.

Finished up fitting my custom stick with an HD15 connector for use with project boxes/custom adapters

Image
http://www.flickr.com/photos/47808867@N00/5744163075/

Originally was a cheap PS2/USB stick with crappy parts, now has a Sanwa JLF and Seimitsu buttons.

Soon will be building an adapter for my Vogatek supergun and SNES, and possibly Gamecube and Dreamcast.

Now the "Real Arcade" and "Universal" labelling is actually true!

Sega 3 button stick
Nice. I have the same stick and have been thinking about doing the same thing. That sucks that it's not deep enough to fit the whole joystick assembly though.

Damn I've been looking back and forth through SRK and here with people posting up their custom sticks and I've been inspired. I shall make my own one of these days when I have time.
