Has anyone ever measured the input lag on Switch?

I don't think he talks about Psyvariar Delta in that video. Did I miss it?

My bad. I thought you meant the console itself.

I have both Switch and PS4 versions and they feel very close. I’d guess 3-4 frames, but I don’t have testing equipment.

Anyone got a recommended, uhm, posture for playing this game at home? I have an 8bitdo arcade stick and am having great fun with manual roll, but the problem is my arms tire when I reach MZIQ :( Currently I just place the controller on my desk, and bend my arms 90 degrees while playing it.

This is something I've never been able to figure out completely. Presumably aside from good posture you also need strength and conditioning and game knowledge and skill (e.g. not making unnecessary movements) but how it all fits together I don't know.

Maybe it wouldn't be impertinent to ask for advice from a superplayer like this guy, who plays on arcade and relatively recently posted the highest scoring replay available.

This game is on my backlog. There is no dedicated button for the roll? That seems like it would make things really rough.

On the Steam port of Psyvariar 3, there's a dedicated "Roll" button in addition to wiggling the arcade stick/D-pad/left analog stick to activate the rolling functionality if so inclined -- so no worries in that particular department.

Dw, there is a roll button. Im just a stickler for unique control schemes :)

Thanks. I shot a question his way, hopefully he reveals his secrets :)

It never felt this extreme, but I did have sort of a similar feeling playing non-autofire games. It is a pretty bad idea to tap furiously all the time, so you eventually develop strats to speedkill things, pick weapons, and overall only tap a lot when the situation requires it. Ofc, not all games are good at this; never ask me to play w/o auto for TD2. For Psyvariar though it feels like a whole nother level!

Btw, do any of you have to tweak settings on the stick when playing at home? Or is there just a big learning curve to rolling while micrododging? Im in practice mode on Cranium, the stage 2B boss, and the gap between the opportunities I "see" for grazing and my ability to actually perform them feels ginormous. I die even on the easy sparse patterns the guy shoots, because i try to roll near the bullet and suddenly i do a big swerve and ram into it. It might just come with the territory of a really risky scoring system, and ive never touched an arcade stick in a real context, so idk if this is just the normal experience. Feels like i have to learn all my stg skillz from zero  Definitely some culture shock transitioning from keyboard, where it feels so precise. Here it feels like I have concrete boots or something, where it takes ages between my command and my actual movement.

Nice. I have the PS4 version so I assume they are the same. I just want to make sure I do not annihilate my stick or wrist trying to play this game.
