Heard these yet?

The Arrange version from the OST and another arrange from some shooting game CD, both of Silver Lining.

Couple those with the fact that the Arrange version of Silver Lining in the preview of the Eschatos DLC seems to be different than the Arrange OST one, and it would seem there are 4 different versions of Silver Lining floating around out there!

Silver lining is an awesome tune. I love the whole soundtrack.

I never got around to buying the full priced version, so i'll be all over this budget one. Now if only Bullet Soul would do the same

tbh Eschatos absolutely demolishes Bullet Soul. It's nice to have both, but Bullet Soul is basically the game that could have been. I think any one of us could talk to the dev team for like 3 minutes and have them emerge with a better product.

yeah, tons of potential but it ended up being pretty boring.

You can buy Bulletsoul from the asian/hong kong marketplace for about £15; It's not ip locked, you can use any region console I think. Check bcass's awesomely helpful posts in the bullet soul thread for details. I'm definately happy with the game at that price.

Ah sweet thx for letting me know. Ild rather have a disc version but £60 is too much considering how much its been panned by the comunity.

Was just browsing games and found this

http://www.play-asia.com/Eschatos_Wonde ... -4ojt.html

Seems to be some sort of budget release of eschatos.

Looks like it's time to pick it up soon.

And if anyone had any doubts, Qute has already confirmed (on youtube) that this "wonder price" version will be region free.

Interesting, is Wonder Price something separate from the Platinum Hits line?

At least they kept the original artwork in some fashion. Remember the PS1 "superlite" covers?

A marketing trick to sell a "platinum hits" budget price without selling enough copies to qualify for platinum hits?

I suppose so yeah. The game was released at a high price originally (another way to make niche releases work I guess) so sounds like a good idea too.

Also the arrange soundtrack is awesome.. wish I could buy it as dlc for the game through the PAL marketplace :d

Isn't it a bit redundant that this is getting a Platinum reprint in Japan after it was already put on Games on Demand there? Not that anyone's complaining. Are they hoping to sell more copies to importers?

So what's the feeling on this game? Is it worth the £30 that it's now going to cost for the wonder price version?

Does it feel like a proper shmup or does it feel a bit... I dunno; like some sort of ghetto indie release?

I don't regret having bought it back when it came out at full price (though getting the music CD was a nice extra) - the game is somewhat simple in both appearance and mechanics, but it plays pretty well and has a nice variety of modes, not to mention the bonus of Judgment Silversword and Cardinal Sins (and the whole region-free thing). I recommend snagging it.

You can easily have £30 of fun with Judgement Silversword, let alone the other 2 games.

Judgment SilverSword was worth the full price it came out as alone. Eschatos is an okay bonus, but I'm not a fan of Cardinal Sins.

Eschatos is a great value. Every game on the disc is good or great.

Eschatos is the most fun shoot-'em-up I've bought alongside Shooting Love 20XX, but, then, I prefer traditional-looking shoot-'em-ups over "bullet hell" games 8)

has anyone with a PAL Xbox360 actually bought the Wonder Price version thus being able to definitely confirm that this works on a PAL console?

A while back Qute confirmed on their Youtube channel that it will be region free, so you can have a high degree of confidence that it will work on PAL consoles.

Can anybody confirm 100% whether or not the Wonder Price version has tate built in for JSS? I can't go online with my jtag for the patch and can't find a download for the patch.

I'm actually willing to buy the wonderprice version just for tate JSS on my cab! I must know.
