Rupe, I hear the games live show was great - Andrew said they pulled out some mint Castlevania stuff at the end.
Yeah, it was quite amazing. My friend and I had a word with Tommy Tallarico after last years show and gave him a good dressing down for not featuring a Castlevania slot and he was saying "well you know we only have so many slots..."

"Fuck that!", we said. "Why not lose any number of the generic, melodyless, dirgey PC game soundtracks that nobody seemed to care about and show the Belmonts some love?"

He duly obliged and now I would probably consider going to the show again next year. :D

Bumped into DEL, mr_monks, and even met ill6 at Casino on Friday. Finally played something else other than Progear, and better still, if all has gone well with Del's efforts, theres a very good reason to visit Casino now.

Only those who put the effort in to a visit will be rewarded with knowledge of Casino's little secret. It's a tasty one...

I, for one, am excited.

you dress as a chick...?

it's a wicked game by the way. if DEL or ill6 hasn't done it already, there are two secret modes you can unlock with codes (check cave-stg). hope to see some of you post scores :) my thread is lonely... :(

Don't worry Del, you can keep it at home for a bit longer. Not too long mind!

Big thanks to ill6 for this - top guy!

That's it! DEL wins the battle of wits (aka battle of idiots) with that one. Made me laugh so much it's hurting my fractured ribs...

Anyway - who's going down the arcade when this week? I'm definately up for one solid visit where I actually stay longer than half an hour.

I'll definitely come down for an evening as soon as Pork is on the menu. I wouldn't mind a bit of multi-player Ketsui Death Label if anyone has the game and the inclination.

I could possibly do 21st/22nd/23rd Nov.

Are ill6's rampant sows replacing spadgy's beloved progear?

I'll be chaining myself to that board the day they come to remove that, like when people did it in the early nineties when they started to remove rural red phone boxes.

No, I'm sure Progear belongs to Casino, so I assume our 'mystery' game will be going in the Ibara or Raiden Fighters Jet cabs. I'd rather RFJ stay, but that's by the by considering the nature of our new beast.

I'm down tonight to meet The Old Mills. I'll bring the board of course. A lottery as to whether John will plug it in tonight tho...

By the way, if it helps (and this goes out to JPJ and RGC too.), there's a sofa at mine you can crash on if fitting in an evening in the arcade and getting the last train home doesn't work for you. I'm 30 mins from the arcade...

Skykid on the other hand - I carry a pocket taser when I meet up with him, and wrap the sofa in clingfilm...

If not soon, then at the next shmupmeet (which Lordstar better come down to too. It's going to be a busy sofa!)

What time are you there Del? I'll be in the area around six so I might wait around if you and the hogs are going to be in town.
