\Speaking of dubs, people that think subs are better. The only reason you think that is because you can't understand the voice acting and rely on the subtitles and are thus oblivious to any voice acting related problems.

Yeah! I love dubs, I think it's fantastic to have the original characters get their voice inflection completely changed and lose any vocal talent/prowess/subtlety, dubs r teh best evar!11! I also love it when the mouths don't line up to the wording, or they completely change the original wording/meaning just so the spoken lines match the mouth movement. I think that's super professional!

Yes, there are some that are good. The vast majority are bad. Thus it's generally pretty safe to avoid dubs unless you know it's good. Unless you have some... aversion to reading, of course

I have the mentality that most dubs are terrible and ruin many works. I'm not completely opposed to dubs, especially when all that's out there is a dub track. Italian exploitation films, especially. A lot of those were made with actors from all over, so no matter what language you end up in, someone gets dubbed.

I think all the dubs I've seen are by the same group that's generally good at dubbing, but there was this one episode of Beyblade where Hell Kerbecs (spelling?) was changed to Hades Kerbecs. I HATE it when people refer to hell as "hades". Hades is a god, not a place.

I find that I often like dubs... until I see the original. Then I can't stand the dub anymore.

So far, the only exception I've encountered has been Robotech.... Macross just felt wrong to me, so it was honestly like Robotech improved it. I know I just committed otaku sacrilege with that statement but, eh. There's advantages to being the only guy on this forum who [DATA EXPUNGED].

Also... getting back to my earlier woes: No, Afraid of Monsters and Cry of Fear will NOT run on my Win98 PC--they both require Steam. So its "run them on your laptop, or fuck you bro." So now I'm at a choice of evils... give in to the empire and download steam, forcing myself to only play both games during unlimited bandwidth hours so Steam won't eat up my data allowance, or else just live with watching Markiplier be a fucking idiot because I really want to know how Cry of Fear turns out.
