I just wanna hang Cave swag around my room at an afforadable price. These walls are empty man. ;_;EllertMichael wrote:¯\_(ツ)_/¯Vyxx wrote:Err... you mean the flyers?ratikal wrote:Now did you buy these posters or just print them out? I don't know if want to drop $100 on a poster...
Everything on ebay is like $50 for like a poster or flyer, its ridicolous.

Well, I printed these high res images out (thanks rancor!) from my schools color printer for free, then bought 6 frames for $1.80 each, and now I just have to find stuff to attach them to my wall. This stuff that I bought didn't work well and it kept peeling off my wall (it was like velcrow stuff). I can't nail anything because I'm in a door room. Any suggestions?

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
If you have plaster, then it's gonna be pretty tough not nailing anything to a wall since nothing sticks to it - the plaster on my walls doesn't allow for anything to stick to it, so I went ahead and started nailing away randomly

Haven't personally used them, but I always hear good things about those 3M Command Adhesive Hooks. They claim to stick to any surface and leave no residue behind.ratikal wrote:Well, I printed these high res images out (thanks rancor!) from my schools color printer for free, then bought 6 frames for $1.80 each, and now I just have to find stuff to attach them to my wall. Yep, I'm currently using one of those 3M Command Adhesive Hooks. It can support up to a certain amount of weight. Very useful if there are stipulations in place not to mar the walls with nails/hanging hooks.shmuppyLove wrote:Haven't personally used them, but I always hear good things about those 3M Command Adhesive Hooks. picked this beast off Kijiji yesterday. Quite happy with it.
Thinkpad SL510 2.2GHZ core 2 duo, 2GB DDR2, Intel X4500M.

Read that old xbox controllers are usb compliant, so picked up a couple for peanuts and inserted a usb plug. Works great!

1978 Triumph Bonneville. Picked it up on Craigslist and been working on it for a couple months. Put in new carburettors and a new clutch.

Got some posters framed too. The Strikers III poster is beautiful in person.

Raiden in the shower?burgerkingdiamond wrote:
Don't you think the condensation will deteriorate the poster within time? If walls can go moldy in other rooms on the opposite side of a shower like I've experienced, I can only imagine this will eat through the poster within a year or two.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
There was such a great sale on poster frames that I bought more than I really had room for. So this ended up in the bathroom. The thought of mold damage never ocurred to me. It won't be a problem though since that shower never gets used (it's in the spare bathroom.)Elixir
It's actually not a poster. It's a giant sideart sticker for Raiden conversion cabs.
Thanks for pointing that out though.

Two controllers and a vibration pack for the mighty Dream Broadcast machine, sealed since 1999 or so. I was taken aback by the blister packaging, it's pristine, like it just came out of the factory... is there any way to open it without damaging the plastic? Also, a basic Logitech mouse.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Why would you wanna keep the plastic? It's just packaging

I tend not to discard packaging. You can say I'm a bit of a hoarder...

I'm interested as to where you grabbed that stuff and for how much, as I have a bit of a Dreamcast fetish. I should have some related Dreamcast stuff to post in this thread very soon. What? Don't look at me like that.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

The R Type 3 has the box... just didn't feel like digging it out for the picture. That purple CD is an autographed shadows of the damned soundtrack.

Monty is relatively new also... he unfortunately did not come with a box and instruction manual.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

A ladder, a few screws, some tools and... a:

For comparison's sake: the TV-Screen behind the wallscreen is 47"...
I still have to do some minor finetuning, I want the image to fit the screen spot-on:

I've had the beamer for ages now, mainly for 3d-gaming in my room on a rather smallish screen (via nvidia 3d-vision), but the Missus wanted something bigger in the living room, so there you go... And I ask myself: Why didn't I do this much earlier on??? I'm literally blown away... Although the beamer is "only" 720p, but blurays still look amazing. It's really like being in the movies, can't wait for my copy of LOTR EE Blu Ray to arrive next week. *gleeeeeeeee*

if you wanted controllers to actually use, why wouldn't you just buy some (probably dirt cheap) used ones? I don't understand why you'd pay more for pristine original controllers if you're just gonna rip em open..STORMWATCH

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
I'm not Stormwatch, clearly, but sometimes finding used controllers not covered in Coca-Cola or being scratched to all hell can prove somewhat difficult, especially for the Dreamcast, with its various recesses that get filled with dirt and what looks like rotten Snickers bar, if what I've run into has told me anything. If you can get the new controller out of the box while maintaining the condition of the box, you get your nice display piece and a usable controller, rather than just a sealed controller.burgerkingdiamond wrote:if you wanted controllers to actually use, why wouldn't you just buy some (probably dirt cheap) used ones? Stormwatch's profile also says he's in Brazil, so if importing is the only option, you might as well import something worth the price.
Now, finding used VMU's with their caps, that's a crap shoot. Might as well buy those new with their CR2032's that last all of an hour because of their age.
