Not had too much time this week, played :

Wipeout HD (PS3) - which crashed post patch due to the returning 50+ friends bug. At least killing the online connection is a (bad) work around.

Galactic Puzzlequest (X360) - nooooo, what have they done?! what is this!? :(

Resistance (PSP) - a little sad that this is much better than R2 PS3, but yet another awesome PSP title.

It's awesome.
:o
I cannot wait til this arrives in the USA… I enjoyed Odin Sphere and this game look great as well… Its the one game on the Wii that I have wanted in a long while…
It'll be worth the wait. The game puts Odin Sphere to shame.
Really, it's way better. Fighting is a lot of fun and of course the graphics are amazing.

Playing Sonic Advance 3.
It's pretty good, just wish some of the levels didn't need such strict memorization to beat -- every level except Route 99, Acts 2 and 3 of Ocean Base, and Toy Kingdom requires that you absolutely remember a certain section, and if you don't, you get thrown for a loop, or killed with everything moving too fast for you to realize it.

Decided to restart Pokemon Gold. I'm on my third run of it.
I've gotten 6 badges, and I'm going to go into Team Rocket's base. However, it's way too boring to do this part. It really is.

Playing some Sonic Rush, and truly having trouble getting a time better than 47 seconds [and change] on Zone 1-1... I still can't beat my 45 seconds [and change] time for crap... hell, I can't even touch any of the times on my record list...

[edit]
Woah, didn't notice that this post looks just like the first post of mine on this page... either way, the situation's the same...

Last week I finished Dead Space. A good game, though I should have played on Hard mode (would have been much more scary to be running out of ammo more often). Once I got over the game's rudimentary scare tactics I found it easy enough and rather straightforward. If I'm ever in the mood I'll do a run on Impossible difficulty.

The story picked up after a bit of a lull towards the end of the game, and turned out not to be a total yawn. It still was pretty unoriginal and predictable, and the final boss was just too damn easy, nothing but a shooting gallery. That said what story there is is well-told.

Okay, that sounds pretty negative but zero-g combat is fun, the weapons all have their uses and are well balanced against the different enemies in the game, the atmosphere is creepy as hell, the harder difficulties surely provide enough challenge, and I felt compelled enough to finish the game. All things considered it's well-polished and does everything I'd expect from a survival horror game. It might have been more fun for me because I haven't played many games like it so some of the things it does were new to me. It made me want to revisit System Shock 2 and play BioShock properly, as I feel they have more detailed environments and deeper storylines.

The best parts of the game were the death scenes (nsfw: gore) -- yet another good reason to play on the harder difficulties.

YES. Oh God yes.

Whenever I play Quick Match, I always get paired up with somebody in Japan... are you seeing that, too? I'm not sure what criteria it uses to match you up with other people, but I would think it would try to find somebody closer first so there's less lag...

Well, the highest connections show up on the top of the list every time for me, so it probably is doing that. I only use the lobby, quick match fails at finding a match too many times to be useful. Just send me a friend request or something, my GT is Zaarock.

You have too many friends. :) My GT is DaveRudolph. I'm guessing Finland is about 7 hours ahead of my time zone, though, so I'm not sure if we'll be on at the same time.

At first I was messing around with a few different characters but now I almost always use Specineff and occasionally Grys-Vok. I just managed to increase my win percentage above 50%, so I'm happy about that.

I only use Cypher. Funny that you play those two, I need practice against those two chars. I was almost going to tell you what are their most annoying attacks but maybe its better I dont, lol. I got owned pretty badly by a Specineff some days ago, he choked me in too fast homing attacks :?

Dragon Quest 8 (j). Fun game but the grinding gets to me and the bag is particularly painful to navigate because the game encourages you to keep your old equipment for the alchemy jar.

Totally gets my recommendation for mid-level Japanese learners. I understand almost everything of what is said 40 hours into it. Most of the time I had trouble understanding was because of characters talking oddly.
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"
"They should at least make 100K to have a good life"

Finally got off my ass and decided to pull out Street Fighter III : Third Strike.

It runs ridiculously well in MAME. And this compy is pretty old...

Street fighter 4, really enjoying this, was pissed off at first by the revenge system but now I understand the mechanics its really good. Never played a 2D fighter online before, getting absolutely destroyed! Just trying to unlock all the characters now, really want Akuma.

Cleared Hyper Zone after two tries. Nice little SNES gem, that. Hybrid shooter ?! (not really a shmup, think Star Fox)

Oh yeah, Persona 4 here and there.

I want to play Mother 3 again... for the third time! Mother series kicks ass, you better recognize
