I also re-positioned the winking eye to not be way off to the lower-right... After looking at that avatar so long I couldn't figure out why it was so off and the original artist didn't fix it :S

Question time: Who is Kozo? The art style looks vaguely like the manual for one of the games - I guess the Famicom or MSX Contra, don't recall which. But the website suggests something else. I wouldn't probably recognize the name "Kozo" if it was the most famous person in all of the Contra affair, unfortunately.

It's just fanart (albeit fantastic fanart!), so I don't think the artist was necessarily Konami-affiliated, but it is pretty reminiscent of the Famicom / NES Super Contra manual. Awesomer though.
