Yea, they have never made a game like this before or since. I love the idea of being shot down and taking the action on foot. It makes sense and one that should be utilized more often.

Stupid me, how could I forget the board I have waited years and years and years to get? I finally got a hold of a Cosmo Gang The Shooting board. Now I have both The Shooting and The Puzzle. In fact, I believe The Puzzle came from Undamned.

I actually only realized recently that the startup scene in Progear is a little hommage to Boogie Wings. Great game! :)

Parodius Da!

Not sure what is more shocking compared to the console versions, the insane rank or the insane slowdown. You can tell this came out right after Gradius III

The 2M+ score-chasing begins now..

That's cool, where'd you find guwange?

espgaluda II kit from fujita showed up yesterday . . . man, they pack things well. double layer of bubble wrap, another box outside of that, double layer of thick brown paper.

EMS tracking says the poster has been stuck in customs for days though, even though the kit only took 2 hours to clear. Anybody else have similar issues?

My brand new Mushihime-tama PCB kit arrived today (it's NOS)! Behold, the most complicated Cave kit ever devised (it's also ridiculously heavy):

Image

Here's everything in that picture that comes with a full kit:
-PCB
-box
-POP
-marquee
-move strip
-instructions
-Sheet detailing the contents of the kit
-Reco Figurine
-2 glittery oversized joystick balls
-PCB feet
-4 different stacks of promo postcards (40-100 in each stack)
-Mini poster detailing the score competition dates back in 2005
-Sheet telling you how to mail in for a large Reco POP
-Promo DVD

Here's a close-up of the oversized joystick balls they give you:

Image

This game is played completely with the joystick, no buttons are used at all.

The game is really great. My girlfriend wandered in as I was playing, and was suddenly interested. She asked if she could play. She proceeded to hog my supergun for about an hour playing it. I was amazed as she has never shown any interest in any other game I have. Then we played 2 player versus mode, I beat her, and she got pissed off. We switched to the 2P adventure mode, and we had a lot of fun. I'm just a little worried she's going to want to play this all the time.

Interesting, has she tried Uo Poko? I sold my Tama 3 days after I bought it, it was that bad. Even my girlfriend agreed, and she loves Uo Poko. :?

No, she hasn't played Uo Poko. I find Uo Poko pretty bland in comparison. Mushi Tama is pretty much the best puzzle game I've ever played (the scoring system is excellent). You do know how the "just fits" and the "counter strikes" come into play, right? It makes the game very fast-paced, and requires a great deal of skill.

Anyway, different strokes for different folks.

This was the part that turned her off compared to Uo Poko. There was also too much randomness in the boss fights that made it quite frustrating. Otherwise I agree the look/feel and added mechanics made it seem like it should be much better. Yeah, different strokes.

That's a photocopied move strip, it's not the original. Hence the "epson printer" look.

But nice price for a PCB with the POP and some other stuff.

For undamned,

And do you have the latter released SPI cartridges of Raiden Fighters Jet and Jet 2000 versions?

Yeah, that SPI cart of Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive is a spicy little number to enjoy in the Raiden Fighters mythos...tis a shame that Seibu Kaihatsu isn't doing anymore sequels to it's Raiden Fighters series or the Viper Phase 1 series... ^_~

They are the same (as far as the game goes) one is a Cart the other (2000) is a PCB w/ inferior sound (from what I've read) right ?
or is there difference in gameplay just like in Viper Phase 1 (old vs new versions)

no youre right, i think the 2000 versions has more ships unlocked from the get-go aswell or something like that.
the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..
