Like the revised/fixed version of the Ketsui program ROM :D Now all you have to do is find a 27C160 EPROM and someone to burn it for you.

No there is not, just burn the image to the 27C160 and insert the new EPROM. Might want to do a reset to defaults in the setup menu as well.

I've never seen any of these bugs on my PCB...but then again, I don't use freeplay mode, and I haven't made it to level 5. :D But major props to rtw for making the fix available! If only it was as easy to reprogram the sh3 boards.

Cool, hobbyroms is in Canada too. A question for anyone who has gotten an EPROM burned from them: You have to pay for both the parts and the service? Like $10 for the burning service, and $20 for the EPROM we need to fix Ketsui?

So what are you doing here wasting time on a forum? I put in some serious time this last week and got a clear. (MMM's video helped).

EDIT: I guess this is a good time to go on record. The opening a new browser w/ every link "feature" REALLY sucks. </on soapbox>

I guess this was a comment for WOA, could you be more specific ? Does it happen on all the pages ?

The link to that picture doesn't work (it says "forbidden").
A kit should include the box and everything in it when bought new.

OK, I will start adding full kit pictures, so if you follow the template image I uploaded and start snapping it would be good.

I plan on storing hi-res pictures of the kits.

I have put together some kit picture guidelines to keep it consistent :D

Please do not include the big poster in the kit picture, take a
separate picture of it. I'll host both the kit and the poster image.
Mini posters like in Progear and Dragon Blaze are OK as
well as the POP's from Cave.

Make sure that all items in the kit can be seen in the kit picture, i.e.
the box should not obscure the POP.

Please use the espgaluda kit image I posted as a template.

If you get a 403 forbidden, just hit reload, it's the leech protection.

Freeplay lives!

I just burned that image and installed the new chip in my board. Works great, it feels so weird to just walk up to the cab and hit start.

Much thanks, rtw

edit: I just noticed something. They changed the sound of your 'laser/pointer'. I'll make a quick comparison movie(s).

Glad it works for you zakk! :D

I'm very impressed that you noticed that the laser sound was changed . I have
done all my testing on the new version, so my reference point is a bit weak. The new
sound, sounds more shriliing that the original (IMHO).

Could you please try mashing buttons a bit to see if you can provoke the half speed
music issue on level 5 and the freezes at level start ?

I noticed because the original sound is actually quite dominating. You hear it almost constantly and it's fairly loud. It took me a few plays to actually pinpoint what felt different. I'm also semi-convinced they slightly changed the lock-on noise too. It may not be as loud.

I wonder why they even changed this. I'll try to trigger the button-mashing related bugs.

BTW, if anyone wants an EPROM with the fixed version, PM me and we can work something out.

Here's the stage 5 music glitch if anyone is curious.

Video
Audio only

The video only goes up to just after the midboss. The music is pretty annoying.
