have you tried emailing aventus?

the protocol around here seems to be that any active member who's willing to maintain a high score board is free to start a new thread. sometimes people migrate the old high scores, other times not. sometimes, they gut the old high score list and only retain the top ten scores, etc.

it'd probably be a good idea to try to get the blessing of the old maintainer before starting a new thread

Yes, you're right, but there seems to be a small gain to maintain a high score list here when there is such little interest for the game itself. Though I am not pro creating walls, there is no denying that most (all?) Shrine Maiden-geeks visit shrinemaiden.org, and that the high score list there thus is much more up-to-date.

We could try to synch them, but I doubt people really care. Or what do you say? Any Shrine Maiden folks here _not_ posting on shrinemaiden.org?

The only gain would be to show that people actually are playing the game, perhaps thus fueling more to play them (?). As said, I can't really endorse the idea of each shmup style having their own forums (would be rather a hazzle if you had a Gradius forum, a Donpachi forum, a Giga Wing forum…) but there does seem to be a bit of a difference between Toho-players and other shmuppers. Or what do you think?

I know I've 1cc'd easy at least once, and I thought I had a few higher scores for normal, but meh. Just to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Normal- DJRP- 209.685.300- C- 23.07

Touhou games are the only ones I'm good enough at to join the highscores ;)

Got 537,576,940 with ReimuA on Normal (full version).

Can post replay if needed.

I tend to state the same… But then I realise it's only because so few people play it. Should those who play Shikigami no Shiro or Mushihime really like these games, we would all be in 50th place… -_-;

Skilled players get like 1,4 billion in this game… Leviathan's score is old too, I think. And he's not top in Europe any longer either.

Alright, finally I was able to do this game justice. Oh, the happiness! :)

moozooh — 633929730 — C — 0.68% — Reimu B — Normal (replay file).

Funny, this playthrough was so atrocious between Chen 2 and Prismriver sisters that you would never possibly have thought I'd manage to do this well in the end. Moreover, even I couldn't see 1CC happening until I realized I nearly one-lifed stage 5 which is an accomplishment by itself. :P

…Aaaand Extra beaten as well:

moozooh — 371610520 — C — 0.20% — Reimu B — Extra (replay file).

Random notes: I guess I should try polishing it up a bit before I tackle Phantasm. I find it especially important to reduce the amount of misses/bombs before Ran, since Yukari's considerably more fierce attacks will sure have me grasping for straws with so few extends even if I use the entire bombstock when needed. I should be able to reach 500-600 millions on Extra before that.

Really old score:

I'll upload pic/replay if needed.

Update on Extra:

moozooh — 486111760 — C — 1.14% — Reimu B — Extra (replay).

Just a few millions shy of my first goal, 500m. Though 600m is also attainable with present abilities, just requires slightly more precise panic bombing, heh.

Another update on Extra:

moozooh — 628,434,610 — C — 0.32% — Reimu B — Extra (replay).

From #SDA:

<moozooh> hahahaha, wow
<moozooh> this was the most retarded improvement ever.
<moozooh> i decided to try some new stuff on PCB extra, missed twice before Chen's first spellcard, then missed a couple times again, failed to milk some spellcards, YET i managed to finish with three lives and one bomb left and beat my record by about 140 millions.
<moozooh> i was *this* close to restarting after each stupid death (and all of them were stupid), but decided to continue just to practice.

So yeah, that's some practice alright. >_>
700-800 millions should be a realistic goal if I don't mess up the beginning as bad as I did here, not mess up the main milking cards (Ultimate Buddhist and Fox-Tanuki Youkai Laser), not mess up the borders, not waste as many bombs, and get the 800 point extend (might be difficult, though).

[EDIT]
A new Easy score, while we're at it:

moozooh — 674,185,940 — C — 0.34% — Reimu A — Easy (replay).

Just wanted to test how much would I've gotten by doing some simple scoring tricks with Reimu-A, and accidentally beat my Normal score. >_> And I would have beaten it further if not for some stupid deaths on the last stage. I should try and get 800M+ with Reimu-B instead.

I don't know if this is being updated or not, but there's no hard or Lunatic tables :(
Which is a shame, since I love this game. I'll get the hard mode table going:

Hard mode:
Shion - 441,808,090 - C - 5.71% - Reimu B - Hard (Replay)

Shion, it will make sense if you start a new hiscore thread, since this one is not updated anymore. I would've already done that if this forum didn't treat Gmail as an enemy (and I can't be bothered to check the temporary address I registered to be able to post here just for one thread).

Thanks, shoe. I'll consider making a new thread myself then.

I have sent a private message to aventus regarding the ownership of this high score board. You may want to wait until he has a chance to reply before starting a new thread.

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry for not updating this thread for so long, I just forgot about its existence. As I'm not that much into the shooting game scene anymore (I kind of wandered of more towards the collector's zone), I am not hitting this board too often. Anyone who feels the strength to open a new thread can do this of course, this is an official permission gentlemen!

I made a final update for the user who will open the new thread so that he can copy the current status right over.

Alright, I'll open up a new thread then.
